Shen Yue was worried about Wang He Di.
For a few days she had seen him working late in the workshop... Sometimes he stopped working even at midnight.
He said he had a lot of cars to fix.
As she was reading a book on the sofa, Shen Yue peered out the window and saw the garage lights still on.
It was after midnight.
She sighed and decided to make a coffee... If she really couldn't convince him not to work so hard, she wanted at least to give him a hand.
She put the coffee in a thermo mug and walked out of the apartment to join Dylan.
As she entered, she saw her neighbor's long legs poking out from under an old gray car.
"Didi?"
Wang He Di crawled out from under the car and he was surprised to see Shen Yue standing there in front of him in her pajamas.
"Cutie! What are you doing here?" he asked her.
The girl showed him the cup of coffee with a smile.
"Is it for me?"
"Yeah... I thought you needed it."
"If I weren't dirty from head to toe I'd give you a kiss" Dylan said with an amused grin, but inside he was touched by that little gesture.
"Shut up and drink" Yue snorted.
She watched him closely as he sipped his coffee... He looked really, really tired.
"I still have two cars left... From tomorrow I can go back to work at decent hours" Wang He Di explained.
"You shouldn't push yourself like this... Your customers can wait a few more days" Yue said.
"They can. But I don't want them to. I understand the discomfort of running out of cars... They are customers who have families. Children to take to school, work away from home, grocery... Yeah, there is public transport, but it's different" Dylan replied.
Shen Yue stood silently looking at him... And she thought that funny boy really had a kind soul.
As soon as she noticed that he had finished drinking the coffee, Yue leaned over to take the cup, but he took a step back.
"I touched it with dirty hands..." he said, blushing a little under his black face.
Yue laughed and walked over with open arms.
He backed away again.
"Do you think I'm scared of a little dirt?" she grinned.
"No, but..."
Without waiting for his response, Shen Yue quickly reached out and pinched his cheek affectionately.
"Dumb" she smiled.
Wang He Di returned the smile.
"Come on, go to sleep" he whispered softly to her.
"I'm going... Will you still work for a long time?"
"No, don't worry".
Seeing that Yue didn't seem willing to get out of there, Dylan laughed and bent down to be able to look her straight in her eyes.
"I'm staying here for another ten minutes, I promise. I have to finish this car" he told her.
He admired that side of Yue... She was so thoughtful and caring!
"Okay... Goodnight, Didi".
"Goodnight, cutie".===
"Aaaah! Here you are finally!" Wang Zi Wei yelled when she saw Shen Yue and Wang He Di get out of the latter's car.
"Sorry we're late! Narciso took hours to get ready!" Yue snorted, pointing to Dylan.
It was Saturday night and the girl had proposed to her neighbor to go bowling with her and her friends.
"I'm surrounded by beautiful girls, I had to be handsome" he winked, smiling at Zi Wei, Xiao Wen and Jaqi, who blushed.
"Auntie Yueyue!"
A little girl of about five years old ran towards Yue.
"But look who's there! Hello little star! I didn't know you'd come too!" exclaimed the girl, taking her in her arms.
"Yeah... My wife went out on a ladies night, so Sally came with me" Connor explained.
"What a beautiful surprise!" Yue kissed her friend's daughter on the cheek.
"Who is he?" Sally asked, pointing a little finger at Dylan.
Wang He Di approached them and made a small bow.
"I'm Didi. Nice to meet you, beautiful princess."
"He's a new friend" Yue added.
Sally eyed him carefully and when Dylan smiled at her, her little face lit up in a smile too.
"You have a lot of hair!" she exclaimed.
Everyone burst out laughing.
"Right?! You can make him a lot of pigtails!" Yue chuckled.
"Can I?!"
The guys turned to Dylan, waiting for an answer.
"Sure you can! I'm all yours!"
Without warning, Sally jumped from Yue's arms to throw herself into Wang He Di's.
As they entered the blowing room, Yue walked behind Dylan and Sally.
The little girl was introducing herself well, telling the boy everything she liked to do, her favorite dishes and much more... While he was listening attentively, smiling.
"Who would have thought my little one would like that Don Juan? Usually she's not that sociable with strangers" Connor told her softly.
"He has a lot of hair. That's enough for her" Yue grinned.
