THE NEW BED

Lots of little kisses on her cheek... Shen Yue was awakened like that by Wang He Di, who was sitting on the sofa next to her.
"Hello, cutie".
"Good morning" she whispered hoarsely.
More little kisses...
Yue let herself be lulled by the pleasant sensation of his soft lips on her warm cheek.
Dylan's heart leapt to see her smile.
"There's breakfast in the kitchen... I have to go, a car has arrived and I need to repair it urgently" he said.
"Thank you... Good work".
Dylan stroked her hair.
"This afternoon I'm going to buy a new bed... Are you coming with me?"  he asked her.
Yue opened her eyes suddenly.
"What?"
"You can't sleep on the sofa! You'll get back pain!"
"Didi, I'll just be here for a few days! No need to buy a new bed!"
"Yes, instead. I reflected on what you told me yesterday... If I really want to start a new life, I have to accept certain changes. I can't let the woman I love sleep on a bed that has seen a thousand other women."
Wang He Di glanced sideways at Yue to see if she had caught what he meant.
But Yue seemed distracted.
"Tiger?"
"Mmh?"
"What are you thinking about?"
Shen Yue blushed and bit her lower lip... Which Dylan didn't miss.
The boy gritted his teeth hard to avoid kissing her again.
The previous night, in every dream, he ended up kissing Shen Yue.
"Nothing. I... Ok, I'll go with you to choose the new bed" she replied with a sigh.
Wang He Di smiled and gave her one last quick kiss on her forehead.
"Perfect! I'll pick you up at the clinic! See you later, cutie!"
Yue watched him walk out of the house...
The day before he had kissed her and now he was ready to buy a bed to share with a girl.
"You can keep all your cuddles. Keep them for the one you'll bring in your nice new bed" she muttered.
She was surprised to feel so angry...
What was she demanding? She knew Didi well.
He was like that, he didn't give importance to certain gestures. For a second a little voice in her head screamed at her that maybe she felt that way because Dylan hadn't told her that she was different from the other women... That their kiss, which seemed unique to her, was nothing special to him.
"Arrrrgh! I'm not going to buy that damn bed!" she barked, throwing away a pillow.

Wang He Di walked into the clinic and sat on one of the chairs at the entrance.
The nurse who usually greeted him when he went to get Yue saw him and immediately approached him.
"Mr. Wang!" she smiled at him.
"Mmh? Oh! Hi! Dr. Shen hasn't finished work yet?"
The girl let out a little grimace... What was that simple "Hi"? No compliments? No "My beautiful angel"?
"She's with a patient" she replied, trying not to sound annoyed.
"Oh... Ok. I'll wait here then."
"Can I keep you company?"
"There is no need... I'm sure you have a lot to do!"
"I'm actually on a break, so..."
But as the nurse spoke, Dylan jumped up as soon as he saw Yue go straight towards him.
She was cute with that adorable, tiny, ponytail.
"Didi! Didn't you read my message? I can't come with you, I have too much work..." she told him.
"Really? I can wait..."
"Go, don't worry! You don't need me to buy a mattress!"
"But..."
Yue smiled at his sad eyes.
She pinched his cheek fondly.
She was starting to feel a little guilty for having decided to let him go alone, when she might as well have followed him... But then she noticed how the nurse next to them was eating him with her eyes and the anger came back.
"You'll be fine! You know what women like! See you later at home, ok?"
"Ok" he muttered, still sulking.

Yue returned from work and took off her shoes as soon as she entered Dylan's apartment.
"Tiger! Is that you?!" he yelled from his bedroom.
"No!" she replied, holding back a laugh.
"Ah-ah! Witty! Run here!"
She quickly reached him and she was amazed to see a huge new bed.
"Is it already here?!" she exclaimed.
"Yes! I assembled it immediately! What do you think?"
Yue first looked at the bed, covered in blue sheets with many small drawings of dogs printed, then at Wang He Di.
"Do you like it?" Dylan's eyes were full of hope.
"It's huge! And those puppies! How cute! It's beautiful!" she replied enthusiastically.
"Yay! I'm glad you like it! The old bed has already been taken away... Tonight you will have the honor of sleeping in heaven!" he winked at her.
Yue rolled her eyes.
"Nah. I'd rather stay on the couch. Save this paradise for the girl you're going to fall in love with" she answered.
"I want you to be the first. I need to know if it's comfortable enough for a girl! And then... You know I wouldn't touch you, if that's what's bothering you."
Dylan said it with the purest of intentions... He wanted her to feel comfortable with him, not to think that in his head there was only sex... But Yue didn't interpret it the same way.
For her, that was the confirmation that she was no more attractive than the others...
That "I wouldn't touch you" said with determination hurt her a little.
"Okay. I'll sleep here with you" she said, angrily.
"Very well, my little Tiger! Um... I didn't have time to cook... Would you like to order something?" Dylan asked her.
Yue nodded, then she left the room to take a shower.
