"Ah Jisung, good to see you boy." My grandma squishes the 'jeekies' while I try not to cringe too much. "Ah yes hi grandma."
"I hope you don't mind sharing the house with someone else too." She leans on the walking stick in her hands. "Oh, no of course not." I immediately answer. "Good because he's sleeping in the room next to you. Also your school will be expecting you at 8.20, next week Monday. So you'll be free for a week before school starts."
"Mmmh." Yay, a new school. Fun.
Damn you're sarcastic
Yeah I've been known.
"Ah Youngho sweetie, could you maybe help with your brothers bags." I look up to meet my brother who is slightly smiling at me.
"Ah of course."
"Thanks." I dryly reply.
"Hey look at it from the bright side, a fresh new start. And we'll have a lot of fun." He proclaims.
I stop my track, "what do you mean 'we'." I clench my jaw.
"Ah I'm staying too."
"Oh."
I grasp the bags out of his grip and walk away saying a short "I'll manage thanks." Before opening my new room door. The door is creaking almost as loud as the stairs. That's when I realize that I'm trapped here. I barely can walk anywhere without anyone hearing me. Great that my grandma is a light sleeper. And on top of that someone else is also staying here, who they are, I have no clue but it seems like I'll find out in a matter of time.
"Jisung come down for tea!" My grandma yells from the bottom of the stairs, just loudly enough for me to hear.
"Yeah, coming." I answer back, walking my way down to the living room.
"Ah there you are, I made your favorite tea from when you were young. With herbs out of our garden."
"Let me get it from the kitchen."
"A grandma let me do it!" I try to argue with her but she reacts stubborn by pressing her hand firmly on my shoulder pressing me down back into the chair I was seated in.
"It's not a big deal sweetheart." She smiles softly.
"Oh okay..." I answer. Not-so-patiently crossing my legs and just staring out of the window. I didn't even notice that it started to rain.
The loud sound of thunder strikes outside causing me to flinch harshly. The electricity suddenly turns off, including the heater. It might be summer but it's still sort of cold in the hill-like area where my grandma lives.
A shiver runs down my spine as it seems like a storm appeared. Wind blows through the open window. I stand up, trying to close it firmly but the wind seems to like to keep it open as badly as I want it closed. Wind and rain reeks through my hair pressing it back. Damn I really styled my hair for half an hour for literally nothing.
I pull the window as firmly as I possibly can causing it to close with a loud sound. It's now completely silent in the room.
I pick up a couple leaves from the ground that seem to be flooded inside.
I bow down. And at the moment I'm about to reach for a leaf a loud sound on the front door is heard.
Knock
Knock
