I didn't have school today, it was pretty awesome, except its cold as fuck outside.

I would have updated earlier but I was making food and then I made brownies and next thing I knew it was 5:15.

As soon as I walk into school, someone decides to jump onto my back. I immediately know who it is when they cover my eyes, her voice whispering in my ear.

"Guess who?"

"Taylor, when did you get back?"

"Today, it feels good to be back" She says getting off my back and walking in front of me.

"Nice" I say, an awkward silence falling between us, I look around the hallway my eyes landing on TJ and Noah. I glance down at their hands, before looking over knowing, seeing her in a very familiar sweatshirt.

My sweatshirt.

My eyes widen and she obviously notices as she covers the logo, as if I haven't realized it's mine. She had to of done this on purpose. It's just like Zach said, she's trying to get a reaction out of me, and it's finally working.

I look back at Taylor, her hands tugging on the sleeve of my hoodie "Why do you keep staring at Noah?"

"I'm not" I shrug and she glares at me.

"I'm not stupid, I see you staring at her, you two aren't a thing right?"

"Of course not, I don't like her like that, we aren't and never will be a thing" I lie, realizing how much I miss Noah.

"Good" She leans up and pecks my lips and skips off to class.

I walk to my homeroom, making sure to take my time, and end up being late. The teacher yelling at me and giving me a detention, not that I give a shit anyways. My phone vibrates in my pocket and I pull it out, my eyebrows raising in surprise seeing a message from Noah.

I'm sorry, that was Lillian, ignore that

My heart clenches a little, that small sliver of hope that she wanted me back, gone, as if it wasn't there in the first place.

Oh, alright

She didn't text me back after that, so I slide my phone back into my pocket and wait for the bell to ring.

Luckily, after first period the day seemed to fly by, however detention does not. I walk in and sit down throwing my feet up on the desk, the door swinging open and Melanie walking in, plopping into the seat next to me a smirk on her face.

"Hey Austin" She smirks, and I roll my eyes.

"Leave me alone"

"Awe, but why? I thought we had something" She pouts.

"No, we were a one time thing that will never happen again"

Thankfully, a teacher walks in telling us not to talk and sitting at the front desk, I put my head down and wait for detention to end.
