I walk up to Zach's door and smile politely when his mom answers the door.

"Hello Austin, it's good to see you" She hugs me and plants a kiss on my cheek.

"It's good to see you too Mrs.Dorsey" I smile and she opens the door wider for me to walk in.

When she closes the front door behind me I walk upstairs and into Zach's room to see Alex and Rob are already there.

"Hey man" Rob says as I sit down on Zach's bed.

"Where's Zach?" I ask Alex.

"He's outside cleaning the pool" Alex tells me and I nod.

I hear the door downstairs open and close again and I get slightly confused.

Maybe Zach's mom left for food?

"Who's here now?" Rob asks.

"Probably Sarah, she texted me and said that she's on her way" Alex tells us and we both nod.

We hear footsteps coming up the stairs and the door knobs begins to turn.

"There's someone I want you to meet" I hear Zach say.

Who the hell is he talking to??

The door opens and my heart begins to race as I see a beautiful girl with long hip length hair enter the room.

"I gotta go" I mumble and quickly run out of the house with my head down.

I can't do it! I don't wanna meet her yet.

"Austin! Where are you going?" I hear Alex yell from behind me.

"Home" I answer simply and he grabs my shoulder making me stop.

"Austin, man what the hell are you doing?" He asks when I turn to face him.

"What going on?" Sarah says as she gets out of her car.

"Austin ran away when Noah walked in the room" Alex answers her.

"What? Why?" She shrieks.

"I can't do this... I don't wanna meet her, I don't want her to know who I am" I whisper before turning around and begin my walk home ignoring the calls of my name coming from Sarah and Alex.

When I get home I walk in and collapse on my bed groaning into my pillow.

I'm such a idiot!

"Austin? Sweetie, I thought you were staying at Zach's tonight" My mom says as she enters my room.

"Uh yeah I decided to just come back home" I mumble.

"Why?" she asks.

I huff getting annoyed "That's not important mom!" I yell and she looks at me in disbelief before walking over to my bed and sitting down next to me.

"Tell me what happened sweetie" She whispers and begins to rub my back.

"She was there, I've always thought about meeting her and now she's single and I thought about how I'm going to make my move but when I saw her I panicked and left. I just couldn't do it." I tell her.

"My poor baby, I think you need to grow a pair of balls and just go talk to her" She says seriously and I burst into a fit of laughter.

I pull her into a hug and she hugs me back "I love you mom, and I'm sorry for yelling at you"

"I love you too and I understand, you're just stressed" she whispers before kissing my cheek and leaving the room.

Leaving me in my thoughts until I fall asleep
