I walk to chemistry and take my seat behind Sarah and I notice that Noah isn't in class yet. She's always here before me. The bell rings as I begin to take out my stuff and Sarah turns around to look at me.

"Have you see Noah?" She asks.

"No" I shake my head and she turns back around.

Right as the teacher begins talking the door opens and Noah walks in. I nearly gasp at her appearance. Her eyes are bloodshot and swollen. She has dry tears on her cheeks and her nose is a light shade of red. But somehow she still manages to look perfect. She takes my breath away.

"Ms. Bradley, you are late" Our teacher says angrily.

"Yeah I noticed" Noah sniffs "It won't happen again" She mumbles.

"Yes, but to make sure, I'm giving you detention after school today, in the library"

"Okay whatever" Noah shrugs and takes a seat next to Sarah.

"Hey, what happened?" Sarah asks Noah.

"Dylan's an asshole" She whispers and begins to cry into her hands.

"Oh babe, I'm sorry" Sarah whispers and rubs her back and Noah sits up and wipes her face.

"It's fine, I should have seen it coming" Noah shakes her head. She pulls out her bag and searches through it.

"Do you have a pencil? I can't find mine" She asks Sarah her voice cracking.

"Yeah" Sarah says and turns to me "Give me a pencil" She whisper-yells and I hand her one.

"You'll thank me for this later" She winks.

"Here you go" She hands the pencil to Noah.

"Thank you" She smiles or tries to smile and begins copying the notes.

The bell finally rings and I start to pack up my things. But stop when I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see the most beautiful girl in the world.

"Hey, Austin right?" She says and I nod "Here, thanks for letting me use it" She hands me my pencil.

"Are you sure you don't need it? I mean I have other ones" I ask.

"No, I'm fine" She giggles "I'm going to stop by my locker anyways"

"Okay" I nod

"Thanks again, but I don't wanna be late, don't want another detention" She laughs

"Good luck with that, I heard Mr. W is directing it today" I laugh

"Oh my gosh! He's the worst Zach and I had him last year, we got in trouble everyday" She giggles "Now I really have to go! But it was great talking to you and I hope to see you again" She smiles and runs to her next class.
