Lydia
"Be careful" Kristophe said to me when he grabbed my arm and planted a soft kiss on both of my cheeks. I wouldn't bother, we're like brother and sister. It wouldn't be weird if he concerned about my safety. "I'll be fine".
All of us fetched our weapons except for the werewolves. Draven told me that it was a "wolf thing" in which every single one of them had egos of dominance and power regardless of werewolves, anyone who fights with weapons without fighting one-on-one was a coward. They valued an honour fight as a warrior. They were very civilised.
Kristophe and I had the Nightshade swords strapped on. Kate had her bow and I swear to God she looked so tough like Katniss Everdeen.
Except she was blonde.
Scott had his spear and Quinn have his daggers, Eric as always, acting cool like he's living in Texas, sniper rifles at both of his hands. He got two more handguns with silencers in his boot.
Damn, we looked like terrorists.
"You look a lot like your mother" Draven came to me as soon I had silver armour on which he gave it to me. "Promise me, child. Avenge your mother", he gave me a hopeful look, that tells me how much he's waiting for this. I nodded and look at him deeply, until the last of my breath, I only lived for this.
_________________________________________We headed to a huge covenant. It has been in full lockdown. The gate was sealed, the doors and windows shut. Only the lights were on. We went there in the night so that my friends could have extra protection from sunlight.
Kristophe was the one who got to the doors first, attached a detonator to it and told us to get back, ensure a safe distance until he pressed the control button in his hand and it exploded.
Bang!!!
A loud bang echoed. Blobs of fire erupted and blasted, smoke and ash lingered in the air. We braced ourselves against the impact and the pavement shook with outstanding vibration.
"Ladies first," Eric began with a smirk causing Kate to roll her eyes in annoyance. "You got no balls are you?"Their short conversation was hilarious until it makes me wonder how could they joking even during this hard time.
Eric's rifle clicked as he braced it on his shoulder. At the time Kate got to the last stairs and entered the front entrance, she already released her arrow, stretching her biceps as she pulled the strings. The kinetic energy was nice, Kate already improved a lot in archery.
It hit the female vampire at the sternum. The vampires cried in pain as she grabbed the arrow with her hands that hit her chest.
"Go! Move!" Kate yelled in command, she continued to exchange arrows. She released a couple of arrows and it whooshed and sizzled through the air.
Loud, high-pitched shrieking pierced my soul and my heart accelerating. Eric shot bullets and the firearm sound boomed. The silver bullets clanging as they fell to the ground. Hissed and snarled makes me flinched and I almost jumped. This is the first time I ever been closed to suckers.
"If they try to attack you, Lydia, killed them directly. Spare them no mercy" Kristophe advised me and I nodded. We parted ways, my mind wandering about to find Daniel and Ace. I'd just got a feeling that they were here somewhere.
I used gas explosives and tossed it two pieces on my way. Vampires won't die from the poison but it will slow them down as the toxic gas could burn their eyes like salt or pepper spray. The next thing I knew, I heard a screeching sound of pain, their hitched breath grew louder in my ears as I approached.
Within a split second, I swung my sword to the left and right while aiming it at their abdomen. Both male and female vampires stumbled back as they held their torn-opened flesh of limp. Blood dripping down their shirt as they fell to the ground. Curled in a small position when they bracing the stinging wound.
Blood coloured my sword, "Nice move" Eric praised and in one swift move he shot four vampires at once, his guns held out a loud boom of firearms. Bullets clanging on the floor.
We moved forward and Eric shot again at the female vampire that connected to the ceiling like a tarantula. It hissed before the bullets entered her forehead and she loosened her grip, fell on the dinner table.
More waves of vampires swarmed through us, my werewolves allies approached as they clawed and used their gnashing teeth to tear their skin of neck before snapped their spine that connected to the head and they ripped it off their bodies, blood sprayed on the wall.
We all ended up in a large hall with a few small stairs and a spikes metal throne laid gloriously in front of us. We gathered ourselves together again.
_________________________________________I saw my father smiled wickedly as he held a long chain at his hands that somehow connected to something behind him, I don't know if it's was his weapon but my father never hides his weapon, it's something he unusually does.
I could still see the golden crown on his head and the intimidating figure he had. A deep, shallow growl rumbled from his chest caused all of us to freeze in fear. He chuckled, "finally, my dear" he spoke and his voice this time strangled my throat as I gasped in fear.
I refused to look him in the eye, he's just too creepy to look at. Especially when he flashed his long sized fangs and devilish eyes that shone darkness that will be sent a shiver to anyone's spine.
He clasped his hand and suddenly we're outnumbered by a pack of werewolves. Draven moved forward and shock drew over his face.
"Oh" Laurent mocked sarcastically. "Draven, what do I owe you to this pleasant surprise?"
"Who the hell they are?" I asked and tightened the grip of my sword. "Omegas -outcast, exiled, unwanted- leftovers because of certain heavy crime that they committed" Draven explained in anger while not looking at me.
"I see you finally learned the truth, my child" Laurent glared at me and I quivered. Tears dripping before my corneas. My image suddenly turns into a blur and I'm glad cause it allowed me to confront my dad. "Why?" My voice breaking, my face heated with anger and despair.
"Why?" I repeated. My hands clenched into a fist and my nails sank onto my palm.
"Cause I have to" his excuses were like a knife that stabbed and twisted behind my back, the pain was so hurt that I could barely breathe.
"How dare you" I whispered just for him in a challenging tone and that will be the last thing he heard as the last day he walked on earth has yet to come.
Hey guys, I can't imagine I'm still writing meanwhile I should study. Still, I did it for you and I hope it's worth it.
