                                Mad Date

"Wow guys I can't believe how much fun this was!"

Amy was so excited. I guess a night out was something we all really needed.

"I know it was too much fun!" Whitney agreed.

Amy and Whitney then looked at me, waiting for me to share my excitement.

"I guess it was okay." I finally said

"CUT THE CRAP DEZI!" Amy screamed while laughing.

"You know you had the best fun you've had in a while."

Whitney decided to join in and she just had to mention Austin.

"Let's not forget her staring at Rivers every five seconds."

Did I really stare at Austin that often? If I did, I didn't notice.

"Speak of the devil." Amy said.

I immediately felt my heart drop. I turned around to find Austin staring at me with that beautiful smile of his. I don't know why but I loved the fact that he towered over me. He was so tall and I was so small.

"How's it going ladies?" He finally spoke.

Amy and Whitney both responded with the classic, "We're fine." Me, on the other hand, I was frozen solid. At least I was able to hold conversation with him before but now he has me completely speechless.

"Austin thank you so much again for the tickets! We really appreciate it."

I was so glad Amy spoke up. It made me feel less awkward.

"Oh it's no problem, Amy" Austin replied while he was still staring at me.

"This is my friend Whitney. Whitney this is Austin Rivers."

"I know who he is Amy!" Whitney shot back.

"Austin I just wanted to let you know that I am one of your biggest fans! I've followed you since your days at Duke. Of course, I'm a Clippers fan too and I'm so glad we picked you up!"

Whitney is the definition of fangirling.

"Okay Whitney!" Amy interrupted, trying to calm her down.

My heart started to sink even more into my chest because I just knew Amy was going to reintroduce me to Austin.

"And you remember Destiny."

"I do. Dezi?" Austin responded as he kissed my hand.

I was so lost I didn't even know he was holding my hand until he was letting go.

I did respond, but not quickly enough to avoid further awkwardness.

"Hi. Austin....Good game! You must be excited.

"It is exciting but it's not the most exciting thing..." He responded.

How long was I going to let him torture me this way? It's like he knew every feeling I had towards him but he enjoyed making me feel defenseless.

"Well we're gonna head home." Amy blurted out.

Were they trying to leave me alone with him?

"Okay well thanks again for coming out!" Austin shouted out.

I was starting to feel like this evening was a big plot to get me alone with Austin. Wait! It couldn't be though. They had no idea of my feelings towards him. Neither did Austin. Hell I don't even think he knows I'm a Lesbian.

Amy and Whitney were in the car and had drove off.

We were alone. My heart couldn't even drop anymore. I was finally forced to converse with this beautiful creature of a man.

"I'll walk you to your car Dez."

My heart may have already dropped but now it officially melted!

Did he just offer to walk me to my car? Did he just create his own personal nickname for me? No one has ever called me Dez.

"Sure. Whatever." I responded.

He chuckled softly.

He was so damn cute! I couldn't even pretend like I wasn't interested. This whole time I was trying to avoid these "straight" feelings and it dawned on me that I was attracted to him from the moment I first laid eyes on him. I honestly never thought I would meet a guy capable of turning me out. Or maybe I was bi this whole time and I just didn't realize it.

"Dez. I have a problem..." He said.

"Oh yeah? What's the problem?" I asked.

"The problem is....I like you. You like me. You're hot. I'm.....hot. Or so I've heard." He winked.

"So what are we going to do about this mutual attraction we have towards each other?" He said.

He started staring into my eyes again. Forcing me to answer. He had to know what he does to me. I was so vulnerable. I didn't want him to know he made me feel this way. At least, not right away, so I decided to pretend again.

"What makes you think I like you?"

"Oh! Okay. I see." Austin said with a smirk.

I couldn't help but laugh.

"We're gonna play THIS game?!"

He caught my bluff. FUCK!

He has beauty, charm AND he's smart!

"I'll admit you're kind of cute." I said

I was starting to feel more comfortable around him. It was probably because he noticed my attraction to him and he completely forced me to come clean. But there's still one thing he didn't know about me...My love for women.

"You're smart and you have an obvious sense of humor but uh...I like women." I leaned in to whisper the part about me liking women.

That's when he caught me completely off guard and leaned down as if he was going to kiss me but then he whispered in my ear, "I like women too."

He leaned back and winked.

This guy seriously cannot lose!

I thought I was speechless before but I was completely turned on and amazed at this point.

Just when I thought he couldn't possibly say any more clever things to me. He opened my car door for me and said, "I'll pick you up on Friday for our date."

He shut my door and leaned through the window and planted the softest kiss ever on my forehead.

"Drive safe Dez." He responded before he gave me one final wave.

Did Austin Rivers completely look over the fact that I'm a Lesbian? Did he just kiss me on my forehead? Did he just TELL me we have a date on Friday without asking? I pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming again.

I wasn't.
