Chapter 12

                        Mad Conversation

Silence filled the room. Austin just stared into space. Why did I tell him this? Why couldn't we just do it and I could've pretended it wasn't my first time?

"Well aren't you gonna say something?" I asked.

He looked at me and although I couldn't read his mind, it was pretty obvious what he was thinking.

"I guess it was fun while it lasted."

"What?" he said, finally responding.

He looked confused. So did I.

"Look I know how paranoid guys get when they date a girl who's never had sex before..."

"And....?" he asked, trying to understand my point.

"And I understand if you don't want to be my boyfriend anymore."

In that moment Austin looked deeply into my eyes..again...like he always does but this time he wasn't trying to seduce me. He really looked concerned.

"Dez. I wasn't thinking, talking to my ex period, especially about sex. But please don't let THAT or the fact that you're a virgin make you question my love for you."

He pulled on one of my curls and watched it spring back. We both smirked.

"So you've never had sex with a guy before...truthfully that makes me love you even more. That tells me that you are a woman who is concerned about who she intimate with. It tells me that I'm hella special because I was able to make you fall in love with me."

At this point, I no longer felt ashamed or embarrassed. Austin truly felt bad for the conversations he had with his ex but I know he loved me...and damn it I love him too!

"It let's me know another thing too..." he continued.

"And what is that?"

"That our first time will be special. It's gonna be special because it will be your first time. It'll be special because I'm the guy who gets to take you down."

We both busted out laughing. I punched him in his shoulder playfully.

"You freak you!" I said still laughing.

We paused and his look got serious and he continued.

"And it'll be special because...it'll be my first time with a girl I actually love. My first time with THE girl I love. My first time with a woman that I can actually see myself having a future with, spending the rest of my life with. And the best part is...it won't just be us having sex. It'll be us making love." 

Austin "FUCKING" Rivers! With his sweet talking ass! If he were a snake he would've bit me because I can't even keep my composure around him.

I smiled and then he pulled me into his arms and we both laid back on the couch.

"But until then...there's no pressure on you. You can take as much time as you need. As long as we're together, I'm happy in this relationship."

Our eyes met again. Me, I looked up at him and he looked down on me and we kissed very passionately.

I have completely forgiven Austin and our future together looked really bright. One thing that Austin said stuck with me. He actually has thought long term. He has considered life with me, Destiny Simms. A regular girl.

He continued to hold me and we stayed in that position for the rest of the night. In each others arms.
