Mad Love Reunited

DEZ'S P.O.V

It feels so good to be back home. My stay at my parents house turned super awkward when I told them about my pregnancy. I guess it was kind of ridiculous of me to expect any other reaction from them but what's done is done.

Amy was working so I had the place all to myself. I decided that after all that driving a good sleep would be best.

[Phone rings]

I looked at my phone. 6 hours passed by. It was ringing and it was Callie.

"Hello?"

The phone was on speaker.

"Destiny turn on the TV!" she said with anxiety.

I grabbed the remote and turned the tv on.

[TV: "Clippers point guard Austin Rivers has been suspended for three games following an arrest for a brawl that occurred in Winter Park, Florida."]

"Oh my goodness! He was arrested!?" I yelled with so much concern.

"Yes but I don't want you to worry okay? Everything is going to work out fine."

"I have to see him! This is all my fault. Jayce became a problem because of me!"

I started to cry. The hormones didn't help either.

"Dez. Calm down sweetie, okay? I'll tell you what...I'll come pick you up and take you to Austin okay?"

I was a mess. Sniffling and snorting. Then I replied. "Okay."

AUSTIN'S P.O.V

News of my arrest is all over the place. I'm so embarrassed. My teammates have shown nothing but love and support though. The Clippers organization suspended me for three games but they informed me it was standard procedure. Apparently they don't want the public to think athletes are above the law.

My family has been there to support me too. Everyone has called and checked on me except the only person I care to hear from...Dez.

I decided to meet Callie at Drago Centro. Big sis wanted to treat me to dinner, I guess.

I got there a little early to make reservations.

"Hello, it'll be a party of two" I said as I walked in.

"Absolutely Mr. Rivers! Your girlfriend is already here waiting for you."

I was surprised that Callie was earlier than I was especially when I tried to arrive early. I then smiled at the host's assumption that Callie is my girlfriend.

"Oh no we're brother and sister" I laughed slightly.

"My apologies sir. Right this way"

We then walked to the table that Callie had reserved for me.

That's when I saw her.

For the first time in almost a month.

Her curly hair pinned up. The bright spring green floral dress she had on shaped her cute little body so well. She had a glow that I've never seen before.

She looked up in her seat and her eyes met mine. She stood up and we both stared at each other.

"You two enjoy your dinner." the host said with the biggest smile.

We took our seats. I was speechless. I had no idea what to say. Then she smiled. I went to long without seeing that beautiful smile. It made me smile.

My heart. My dream girl. The mother of my unborn child.
