Chapter 25

                            Mad Separation

AUSTIN'S P.O.V

After my brothers broke up our fight and everything boiled down, we headed to the hospital to get my arm looked at.

I yelled at Destiny several times tonight and I really didn't mean to upset her but this night is completely ruined. This is the very night I was going to propose!

DEZ'S P.O.V

As we were on our way to the hospital, it was dead silent. I was seated in between Austin and Callie. It was just us three and Mr. Rivers that went. Everybody else stayed at home.

We got to the hospital and once they check Austin's arm they told him that he was going to need emergency stitches to prevent any bacterial infections.

We waiting for any hour.

AUSTIN'S P.O.V

"Tough night huh?" the doctor said. I smirked.

"Yeah. Unfortunately it is one of those nights. What makes it even worse is that tonight is the night that I was going to propose to my girlfriend."

"Well the night is still young champ. I should be finished in about 30-45 minutes and you can still propose."

The doc was right. It's fucked up that Jayce came out of nowhere and ruined our night but I can end things good by carrying out my plan.

We were finished within 30 minutes just life the doc said. I came out with my stitches carefully bandaged and we all hugged and headed back home.

The police were still at the house when we got home.

"We're just gonna need statements from you guys and we'll be out of your hair." one officer said.

I could tell they were star-strucked. After we gave them our statements, they asked for my autograph and my father's autograph. I figured it was the least I could do since they could've arrested me.

Destiny was right by me the whole time but she was quiet the entire time. I felt really bad for how I yelled at her earlier.

I was chatting with the police and I put my arm around her to let her know that I still loved her and that I was okay.

Once the police left we all walked back to the house slowly. I stopped once we got right in front of the house.

"Dad, Callie could you give us a minute please?"

My dad smiled. He already knew what I planned to do.

He patted me on my shoulder. "Sure son. Don't take too long now you hear? Your mother's worried about you."

"Right."

They both went inside and Dez and I were finally alone. I took a deep breath and held her hand.

"Dez...firstly I wanna say that I'm so sorry for yelling at you. I was frustrated and I took it out on you and I shouldn't have. I'm sorry baby."

She still looked sad. "No Austin I should be the one to apologize. It's all my fault. Jayce only became relevant in our lives because of me."

I leaned in and kissed her forehead. Than I got down on my right knee.

Her face lit up.

"Dez....?"

"Yes?" she said as tears filled her eyes.

I hesitated and then I continued.

"I had a whole speech prepared but you know I'm not that good with this lovey dove shit."

We both busted out laughing. I wiped the tears from her face.

"Okay so since we know I ain't shit when it comes to speeches, can you be my wife for the rest of my life?"

She nodded her head without hesitation and I gave her the biggest hug ever.

"Wow this makes what I have to tell you a whole lot easier." she said.

I had this puzzled look on my face.

"Austin I've been wanting to tell you this for a couple of days now. I found out a couple of weeks ago but ummm....here it goes...."

"I'm pregnant!"

I was shocked but then it all made sense. I laughed in disbelief as I tried hard not to show my pain.

"Oh okay I see. Wow. You couldn't have told me you were pregnant with Jayce's baby before I proposed to you?!

Dez's smile quickly faded away. She slowly started to take the ring that I placed on her finger off.

"How could you do this Destiny?"

She had the blankest stare on her face and tears started to roll down.

DEZ'S P.O.V

I couldn't believe what I was hearing! I finally tell Austin I'm pregnant and he thinks it's Jayce's baby.

I chuckled a little just thinking of the conversation I had with Callie earlier.

"Wow Callie was so wrong about you."

He had a puzzled look on his face again.

"I didn't tell you about Jayce before because it's not his baby...

...it's yours. And it looks like I'm going to be a single mother." I said as I handed him the ring back.

"Goodbye Austin."
