14. Brat

"Hyung, do you like swinging?" Taehyun asked, laying on his torso on the swing.

"I don't know..." he shivered. "When can we go back?"

Taehyun giggled and instead sat on the swing, pushing himself a little bit and staring at Yeonjun who was glaring at him with red cheeks.

"You're handsome."

"What?"

Taehyun shrugged. "You're really handsome. If I wasn't in a relationship, I would smash."

"You would-" he stuttered. "Um... I don't know if you realized this, but you're sixteen!"

Taehyun laughed and then shook his head. "Why are you so grumpy? Soobin said you're a really nice, energetic person."

"I'm just in a bad mood," he said, going to the play area thing and sitting on one of the double slides.

"Why?" Taehyun asked, hopping off the swing to sit on the other slide.

"It's because of you..."

Furrowing his eyebrows, Taehyun sighed and looked away. "I'm sorry. I seriously didn't know where to go last night."

"It's not that. It's just... it's awkward because you're a kid. And you're too young to be hanging out with me. Hell, you're too young to be with Soobin."

"But Soobin's a kid too."

"I know..." he sighed. "I know. Can I tell you something?"

"Anything," Taehyun said happily.

"I never thought you were good enough for him."

Taehyun frowned and heaved a heavy sigh, laying back on the slide. "Why?"

"Because you're immature and you don't treat him like how he's supposed to be treated."

"Wh-what do you mean?"

"He likes working and doing schoolwork. And you don't give a shit about that. That's his passion. If he can respect you playing baseball, you should be able to respect what he likes doing. You're a fucking brat."

Taehyun felt tears in his eyes and he quickly shook his head. "Th-that's not true! I do treat him well!"

"Whatever you say."

"I love him!" Taehyun cried, stomping his feet on the slide.

"I know you do. But sometimes it doesn't hurt to tell him that."
