28. Soobin-ah!

*A few hours later*

Taehyun immediately went back to sleep after saying hi to everyone, which freaked Soobin out.

"Why does he want to go back to sleep?" He asked a doctor who was in the room doing stuff.

"It's nothing to worry about. He'll be very tired, hungry, and affectionate for a while". Soobin couldn't help but smile a little bit.

"I'll be very affectionate too," he inaudibly whispered.

Date: March 20th

Taehyun couldn't walk while in the hospital.

Soobin thought it was just temporary at first.

But he had to help him stand up and sit in the wheelchair.

"Did he hurt his back?" Kai asked, it being his first time seeing this happen.

"No. It's just been a year since he walked, so his legs are still kind of asleep."

Taehyun internally thanked Soobin for lying.

A few days ago, the doctor told Taehyun that he had to learn how to walk again through physical therapy.

Needless to say, he was extremely embarrassed by it.

Once they got out to Taehyun's parents' car, Soobin helped him inside.

"I'm gonna go."

"What? No."

"My car is here."

"Just... can you follow us back to my house?"

Soobin nodded. "I was planning on it."

He smiled and kissed the boy's forehead before getting in his car and following them.

"Well, everything seems the same..." Taehyun cautiously said as Soobin pushed him inside his room.

"Yup. I kept everything the way it was."

"So, tell me your daily routine while you were here." He pushed himself up to stand, but Soobin had to immediately catch him since his legs collapsed below him.

He sighed, but Soobin quickly shook his head. "The physical therapy will help. And I'll help until then."

Taehyun frowned as soobin helped him lay on the bed.

"No, I don't want you helping me."

"Why?"

"You've helped enough."

"Taehyun... I'm supposed to. We're together."

"My mom said you didn't want her to hire a nurse because you wanted to take care of me..." he reached forward to play with the locket on Soobin's neck. "It makes me feel guilty."

Soobin shook his head and leaned in until their faces were only centimeters apart. "Don't feel guilty. I did it because I love you. And I promised you that I would be with you until the very end. And that included being with you when you were asleep."

Taehyun bit his lip and smiled a little bit, leaning up to kiss him. But Soobin pulled away, feeling the need to tell him something.

"You remember how I told you there was a tornado that happened a month after you fell into the coma? And all of us sat in your room and waited it out?" Taehyun nodded. "Well, when you still had your cast on, I saw that the word 'Loser' was written on it by someone at our school, and I wrote a 'V' over the 'S', and..."

"And what?" Taehyun asked with innocence lacing his voice that made guilt run through Soobin's body.

"I kissed you because I think that at the time I thought it would wake you up..."

He looked down in shame and Taehyun giggled.

"Why would you be embarrassed about that? That's adorable."

"But... I did it while you were asleep."

"Soobin... I always wake up to you kissing me. But nevermind that. I want you to kiss me now."

A smirk made it's way onto Soobin's face and he leaned back in to kiss him again, letting his hands roam down Taehyun's body and hold him down to stop him from squirming.

"CHOI SOOBIN I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU."

He quickly pulled away, screaming when he saw both of Taehyun's parents standing in the doorway.

"No you will not. We will give them their privacy. Shoo."

His mom shut the door and Soobin stared at it in horror.

Taehyun giggled. "Well, come on. I want more affection."

Soobin went to go lock the door, nodding in disappointment.

"We should of locked that beforehand."

Taehyun agreed and made grabby hands at him, frowning when Soobin instead left the room.

"Soobin-ah!" He yelled, gasping when Soobin came back with the cat he had been talking about.

The boy squealed in happiness, petting the cat that was laying on his chest now.

After the initial shock of realizing he had a cat went away, he had a frown on his face.

"Soobin, did you sleep with anyone while I was asleep?"

Soobin was staring off into space, so the question caught him off guard.

"No."

"Why not?"

Turning to face him, Soobin shook his head. "Why would I?"

"I wouldn't have expected you to just... not have sex for an entire year. You should go out. Do something pleasurable until I'm able to like... move again? It's been a year."

Soobin looked so thrown off that it was even confusing Taehyun.

"Are you telling me to cheat on you?"

"Well, is it cheating if I give you permission?" Soobin shrugged. "I just... I can't help but feel bad that you still have to wait for me. And it's crazy. You are so insanely attractive. You can go out and do whatever you want with whoever, but... you don't."

"That's because you're the only person I would want to do anything with."

Taehyun smiled with a pink color tinting his cheeks, watching Lucky run out as Soobin went to close and lock the door again.

"Hm..." he hummed, hugging Soobin when the older came back to lay down next to him. "It feels like just a week ago we were at my baseball game making all the other people there jealous." He giggled. "But it just feels like that because I don't remember anything that happened in the last year." He grabbed Soobin's hand and intertwined their fingers. "Soobin."

"Hm?"

Embarrassment laced his face and voice as he asked, "can you help me take a shower?"
