*Three days later*
*Tuesday night*
"I don't know what I wanna do," Soobin said, having already drowned out the sound of beeping, signaling that Taehyun was still alive. "It's hard to decide. I don't know how you chose veterinarian so easily. There are so many different options."
Yeonjun, Kai, and Beomgyu all sat in the waiting room, letting Soobin have these last moments.
"I'm gonna go to college."
His voice cracked.
"And you won't be there to help me."
A stray tear ran down his cheek, but he barely noticed it.
"You have a new cat. His name is Lucky. He's very sweet, and I know he'll be okay. Your mom and dad will be okay too. We're gonna be okay."
Taehyun's mom left the doorway crying and Soobin shook his head.
"You fought so hard. And you're the only one who can save your life now, but you don't even know that."
The machines started slowing down, and Taehyun's heartbeat sped up a little bit.
"I love you so much. Please. Please don't do this," he whispered, squeezing his hand tightly as more tears fell from his eyes. "Please. Please Taehyun. I can't go on without you. Come back to me. Please, come back to me Taehyun."
