Date: March 13th

Soobin had been in a really weird mood lately.

A week ago, he went to dye his hair grayish brown.

And now he can't change it back unless he dyes it again and he's too afraid to do that because he doesn't want to damage his precious hair.

Well anyway, he had been a risk taker.

He actually gave Lucky a kiss on the nose, not even crying when the cat smacked him with all claws out after that.

And he actually called Mr. Kang "dad" to see his reaction, and the man threw a pillow at him and said "if you ever propose to my son without my permission I'll kill you".

A couple weeks ago, he got an acceptance letter from Pusan National University, where Beomgyu and Yeonjun were currently attending, and where Kai would be going in a few months.

It terrified Soobin once the realization settled in.

He was still scared to leave Taehyun, but at the same time, the boy was mad about him taking a year off to wait for him.

Imagine how mad Taehyun would be if he waited multiple years.

And finally, the last crazy thing for him to do is this.

Walking through metal doors, being escorted by guards to a room with a mirror and a table. On one side was a man with handcuffs sitting in a chair, and on the other side was another chair. He sat in the empty one.

"Do you know who I am?" He asked.

"No."

"On this day, one year ago, you ran a red light. This caused a major car accident, and the love of my life got hurt the most. He suffered a broken arm and to this day, he's in a deep coma."

"Oh..."

"I would like to know what happened that night."

"You want the whole truth?"

"Every bit of it."

The man nodded and sat up straight. He just looked like someone in his twenties, not some old freak. He had face tattoos, but not any severe ones.

"I had expired plates, but that's just a way to get the government money." Soobin nodded in agreement. "I don't have my license because growing up I had a fear of the government having my picture, but I have been driving since I was thirteen years old. The other things I have been accused of are true. I was selling drugs for money to help pay for my daughter's medical bills. March 13th of last year, my daughter died at the hospital. I went to a bar to drink it off, and I drove home drunk. And I ran that red light. And I ruined your life, just like I ruined mine."

Soobin had tears in his eyes and he looked away.

What the fuck?

"Really?" He asked, his voice laced with empathy.

The man nodded. "I didn't know that anyone got hurt. I'm so sorry. And I know you'll never forgive me for what I did. I was just so upset and-"

"I forgive you," Soobin choked out through broken sobs. "I forgive you. I'll be able to get him back, but you won't be able to get your daughter back. I'm so sorry."

A cop came in and Soobin had to leave, crying the whole way home. He had to stop on the side of the road and looked ahead.

What was he doing?

What was the point of being sad?

This man lost his daughter after he fought to keep her alive, and this entire time, he's hated him.

He punched the steering wheel in frustration, continuously punching it and screaming until he tired himself out and he just started crying.

His phone started ringing, but he ignored it. It rung again and again, and he finally checked the caller ID, picking it up when he saw that it was Taehyun's mom.

"Hello?" He asked, wiping his tear stained cheeks.

"Soobin... he isn't breathing."

"What?"

"The machine isn't working right. He's in the hospital right now."

He dropped the phone on the floor of the car, looking forward in shock.

Taehyun stopped breathing.
