Embarrassment laced his face and voice as he asked, "can you help me take a shower?"

"What?" Soobin asked. "Don't you think it would be easier for you to take a bath?"

"Well, yeah. But that's not as cleanly and I feel gross."

Soobin chuckled and stood up. "Okay... well, how do you want to do this?" He asked, picking Taehyun up to carry him to the bathroom.

"I don't know... here, set me down." Soobin cautiously put him down, but had to hold him up again. "My legs are just wobbly. I can do it."

"No, come on. We can... take a bubble bath together."

Taehyun's eyes lit up.

Soobin was always too shy to take bubble baths with him.

"Really? Yeah yeah yeah." He got all excited and sat down while Soobin started the bath. When it was ready, Soobin left real quick and came back in just a pair of shorts, making Taehyun giggle.

"Don't say it."

"My big squish."

"Aish," Soobin sighed, pulling Taehyun's hoodie and shirt off of him. He took the rest of Taehyun's clothes off too, the boy blushing furiously as he was set in the water.

"You're the only person I would ever allow to see me naked and injured," he said, watching Soobin also sit in the water with his shorts still on. "Really? You make me feel awkward now."

"You were right earlier. It has been a while since... that."

Taehyun shrugged and nodded. "Okay..." Soobin ended up sitting behind him, scrubbing his hair as the younger boy played with the bubbles. "Even though it feels like I never left, some things just feel new."

"Explains your newfound adoration for bubbles?" Soobin smiled when Taehyun put them in his hair.

He wrapped his arms around Taehyun's waist and dug his face into his neck, the smaller boy just continuing his adorable activity. He was seemingly content with Soobin's affection, sighing and shutting his eyes.

"I love you Soobin," he whispered, leaning his head back on the older's shoulder.

Soobin quickly returned the statement, and they soon got out.

"I'll find you some clothes," Soobin said after laying him down. He went to the boy's closet and just decided to get him shorts and an oversized hoodie so he would be comfortable, coming back to see him staring at the ceiling.

"Soobin... I haven't told you this yet." He sat up to stare at him. "But I'm pretty sure you saved my life."

"What do you mean?"

"It sounds crazy, but you know that comedy thing where someone says "don't follow the light"? Well I was about to walk into the light when I heard you telling me to come back to you."

Soobin's eyes widened. "That literally sounds like something out of fiction."

Taehyun shrugged, holding his arms up for the hoodie to be pulled over him. They didn't talk about it any further. It was too freaky and too emotional, so they moved on from it.

Once Taehyun was fully dressed, he laid against Soobin's chest and between his legs and tried to find something to watch on the TV.

"Netflix or Hulu?" He asked as Soobin rubbed his hair with the towel to get it dry.

"Hm... Netflix. I'm gonna go make popcorn, okay?"

Taehyun nodded, choosing Train To Busan to watch when Soobin left. He came back soon to lay in the same position and they watched the terrifying movie.

But again, this isn't that cliché of a love story. Neither of them were necessarily scared. But there were a few jumpscares that made Soobin jump.

A few days later, Taehyun went to physical therapy for the first time. Soobin was there to help him through it, and they did make a tiny bit of progress. But when they got home, Taehyun was exhausted.

And that's how it was for the next few weeks.

A/N: I'll try to start writing the next chapter soon. It'll have smut, so like... idk? It'll have smut, that's all I have to say. But again, I'll need time to collect myself.
