21. Koala Bear

Date: December 4th

"Tomorrow's my birthday," Soobin sighed. "And it's my first birthday without you in years."

It was gloomy and dark outside. Understandable since it was midnight.

There was a knock on the front door and he groaned, standing up to go open it.

"Beomgyu? What are you-" it took a second to notice the boy's bloodshot eyes.

"Yeonjun and Kai are mad me," he hiccuped, burying his face into Soobin's shoulder when the other hugged him.

"How did you get here?" Soobin asked, shutting the door and guiding Beomgyu to the couch to hug him there.

"A bus. And there are a lot of weird people on there!" He sobbed, hiding his face in his hands.

"Beomgyu, I would've come picked you up if you called. There are dangerous people on public transportation, especially at this time of night. And for someone as small and pretty as you?" He shook his head and Beomgyu looked at him in fear. "Nevermind that. You're safe. That's what matters. Now, why are they mad at you?"

"I asked them not to call me a bimbo because it kind of hurts my feelings. And they said they were just joking because Taehyun used to- oh, I'm sorry... I mean, Taehyun calls me a bimbo. But Taehyun's like my best friend and I call him it back. But it's kind of weird when my boyfriend and my older friend says it. They're basically calling me a kind, pretty, dumb slut. And I'm a virgin." He cried again and Soobin groaned.

"You know? We don't have the brightest friends." Beomgyu giggled between tears and shook his head. "Did it ever hurt you when Taehyun said it?"

Beomgyu softly nodded. "Taehyun's more laid back though, so I guess with his personality, it's more obvious that he's joking. Because he'll say it, and then smile and call me his adorable koala bear."

Soobin smiled and looked at Taehyun's room. "Yeah, he kind of has cute nicknames for people. Why are they mad at you?"

"Well, I don't think they know what bimbo actually means because I called them dumbs sluts and they got mad."

He started laughing and Soobin did too, stopping when Taehyun's parents walked in.

"Hey," Soobin said. "Taehyun's fine."

"Who's this?" Mr. Kang asked. "You already cheating?"

"Wha-"

"Get your ass over here. Soobin would never even kiss anybody if it wasn't Taehyun," Mrs. Kang said and Soobin and Beomgyu both laughed. "That's their friend dumbass."

Soobin quietly thanked her and turned back to Beomgyu. "Are you okay with sleeping out here?"

"Yeah. It's not like I haven't stayed the night here a billion times. Which makes it surprising that his dad doesn't know who I am," he chuckled and stood up, Soobin doing so too to go get blankets for him.

The next day, the other two came over and Soobin made them work out their problems with Beomgyu. But after they figured it out, they all had fun, with Felix and Lia surprisingly coming over to hang out.

"Huh. Stressful day," Soobin told Taehyun after they all left. "But it was fun. I kind of miss them. Taehyun, babe... stop calling Beomgyu a bimbo. Please." He giggled.
