"Could we talk about global warming?" Taehyun asked as Soobin sat on his bed, thinking of things they could talk about at a school assembly.
"Well, I mean, we could. I was thinking of talking about social issues. That could be one of them. And stop worrying about this. You're supposed to be studying."
Taehyun rolled his eyes and turned back to his desk full of textbooks, groaning out of boredom.
"Neither of these things are even important right now. You know what's tomorrow? Valentine's Day. We should have a picnic in our spot."
The spot.
A place on a cliff right outside a forest.
It was their spot. No one else went there. No one else even knew about it. They just went there to hang out and talk about everything.
"If you study hard, we can do anything you want for Valentine's Day."
"But-"
"Taehyun," he said in a warning tone.
"I wanna cuddle. Chemistry is boring and useless. I'm not gonna be a scientist. Why do I need to learn about this stuff?"
Soobin sighed and walked over to sit in the chair next to Taehyun.
"You don't need to learn about it. But you need to show that you know stupid stuff so you can get into a good college. And science is like the one subject you need to be good at to be a veterinarian. That's what you wanna do, right?" Taehyun nodded. "Well, there you go. You need to do good in science."
Taehyun bit his lip and turned back to his books, shrugging. "I already know all this. I don't need to study."
"It's good to though." The younger smiled and moved to sit sideways in Soobin's lap, gently hugging him. "Seriously, study, alright? I have to go, but I'll be back to say good night to you. I love you Tae."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever you big bozo." He giggled and stood up, walking Soobin downstairs to the front door. "You better come to say good night. Otherwise I'll beat you up," he said, draping his arms around Soobin's neck.
"I would like to see you try shorty."
Taehyun's mocking was cut off by a kiss from Soobin and he literally melted.
God he loved Soobin's affection.
"Okay, stop being whores in my house. Is that how that one song goes?" Taehyun's mom asked, making Soobin pull away and look away in embarrassment.
"Mom," Taehyun whined, pulling Soobin out the door and onto the porch. "Well..."
"I'll see you tonight. If you study, I'll also see you after school tomorrow."
Taehyun pouted as Soobin kissed his forehead one last time before leaving and getting in his car.
He sighed.
He loved Soobin so much, but the older was kind of obsessed with getting good grades, and that made him want Taehyun to get good grades too. Taehyun tried to do it to make Soobin happy, not just for his own benefit.
Soobin used to be an uptight person. He was specific of who he hung out with and whether they would benefit him like he would benifit them. He was a cute, popular student, and everyone wanted him. But he only had his eyes on one.
"Can I sit here?" Soobin asked, noticing that the rest of Taehyun's baseball team was sitting somewhere else.
The boy nodded, moving his bag so Soobin could sit down with his lunch.
"I'm Soobin."
"I know. Everyone knows," he grumbled.
"So... you're a fifth grader, right? I'm in sixth grade, so if you ever need help with any homework, I can help you."
Taehyun nodded.
And since that day, Taehyun gained a crush on the yearly student body president. They started dating soon after. Of course, everyone thought it was just a stupid elementary school thing that would go away, but now one of them was almost in college...
And they're still together.
Later that night, Soobin snuck through the window to not wake up Mr. and Mrs. Kang, sighing when he saw Taehyun sleeping with his head on the desk.
"My beautiful boy," he whispered, walking over to pick Taehyun up and lay him down in his bed.
"No... u," Taehyun giggled in his sleep, grabbing Soobin's hand so he wouldn't leave. "Don't go."
"Hm?"
Taehyun's eyes fluttered open and he softly smiled. "Don't go Hyung."
And so Soobin didn't. He laid down on the bed, letting Taehyun cuddle into his side as the precious boy loved doing.
The size difference was amazing. It wasn't too big, bit it was big enough to be adorable, and Taehyun loved it.
"I love you Soobin."
"And I love you," Soobin said, but Taehyun was already fast asleep.
