"MORNING, DAD..." Ikki greeted, yawning as he scratched his eye. He was in a peaceful slumber until he was woken up at six in the morning by a delectable aroma, making him go to the kitchen where he saw his dad cooking their breakfast.
Takashi looked from over his shoulder, and grinned. "Mornin', Ikki!"
"What are you making?" Ikki asked as he approached him. He tipped his toes, and sneaked a peek at the pan on the stove. "Is that Eggs Benedict?"
"Close, but it's slightly different." Takashi replied. "This is Eggs Sardou. New Orleans-Style Poached Eggs With Artichoke Hearts, Spinach, and Hollandaise Sauce. Think of it as Eggs Benedict's greener, but just-as-rich cousin."
Ikki hummed. "I see..."
"Here," Takashiheld a fork with a piece of the dish in front of Ikki's lips. "Have a taste."
Without another word, Ikki bit on to it. His fluffy cheeks puffed while he chewed. His golden orbs then met with his father's eyes as they sparkled in delight. "It's delicious, dad!"
"I know, right?" Takashi took a bite for himself, and he let out a sigh of satisfaction. "And, it's still just as effective a hangover cure as it was back then!"
