The Next Day...
MORNING CAME by like a blur. Before Ikki knew it, the sun was already rising at its peak — its rays piercing through his window, waking him up in the most irksome way possible. It wasn't like he hated the morning — he despised it, especially when his sleep wasn't sufficient enough for him.
Instinctively he turned to the side where Soma was supposedly sleeping on, but he saw no signs of him.
'Soma must've gone back to his room...' he thought, groaning afterwards when he saw the time. He needed to get up now because classes will start soon, and it'll be really troublesome if he heard an earful from his professor for being late.
After a few more groans of protest, he unwillingly got up from the comfort of his bed, and went to the mirror to check on himself. He didn't bother to comb his messy bed hair. Instead, he just ran a hand through it before heading out of his room.
"Oh, Megumi. Good morning," Ikki greeted the drowsy blue-haired girl with a small smile when they met in the hallway after he saw her walk out of her room. Apparently, she was occupying the room next to his. "I didn't know that you were just next door."
"I-Ikki-kun?" Megumi blinked, her blurry vision clearing up. "G-Good morning," she greeted back, yawning as she rubbed her eyes sleepily. "I didn't know that you were just next door a-as well."
Ikki took a few steps closer to her with his hands in his pockets, and stopped in front of her. "Are you heading to the kitchen, too?"
Megumi timidly nodded. "Y-Yes. Fumio-san's making breakfast."
"Let's go together?"
"S-Sure!"
With that, the two went on their way to the kitchen. To be honest, Megumi felt a tad nervousness when Ikki began to talk to her. Who wouldn't? The boy was just simply too attractive! What if his fangirls get angry at her?! Worse, what if they kill her?!
She shivered at the thought.
Glancing at the girl, Ikki noticed how awfully silent she's become ever since they began walking together. He saw how well she interacted with the others, but when it comes to him, she always seems a bit uneasy. Based on her antsy demeanor, his best guess is that she wasn't completely comfortable with him yet.
'Is my face really that unfriendly looking...?' he wondered, turning his gaze away from her. He had a frown on his lips as he thought of multiple reasons for why the girl was nervous around him, but in the end, he couldn't get a concrete answer so he just...
