Sam walked towards the plane. They were going home. No fast jet this time. Just an uncomfortably long plane journey beside Bucky who he had fought with a week prior.

'Hey Captain America! What are you doing on this public flight?'

Sam smiled and waved but ignored the plane comment. He was hoping for a nice quiet ride. He walked up the steps holding his small piece of luggage and entered in, showed the cabin crew his ticket and went to sit beside…

Bucky. Sam rolled his eyes and tried to walk on but all the other seats were taken up. He sighed and went to sit.

Be mature.

As he sat, Bucky glanced up but on noticing it was Sam he put his head back down. Sam took a deep breath.

'Uh… Hi?'

Bucky glanced up and half said hello quietly. Sam knew if this was what the whole plane ride was going to be like he would just jump out by the time they got there. He decided to make peace.

'Listen Bucky…'

Bucky half turned towards Sam but didn't meet his eyes.

'I'm sorry about… earlier'

Bucky raised an eyebrow.

'Well… a week ago'

Bucky shrugged.

'Its fine'

Sam was not getting anywhere. He decided to go for it. He grabbed Bucky's hand.

'No it's not… And I'm sorry'

Bucky quickly glanced down and up again, barely noticeably. Sam let go of his hand. Bucky took a deep breath.

'I… I guess I'm sorry too'

Sam's eyes widened slightly.

'I probably shouldn't have fought you on it… Especially as you saved my life the day before.'

Sam nodded.

'So… Uh...truce?'

Sam was surprised at how quickly he had broken Bucky down but he hurriedly accepted Bucky's forgiveness.

'Yeah… Of course man'

They shook on it. Now Sam could relax for the rest of the journ-

'Wait'

Sam braced himself for… He didn't know what.

'What happened when it threw me?'

For some reason Sam decided to not tell him. He felt as if it was a secret and something had happened. And if he could get some information from it then that was always good.

'I'm not telling you unless you tell me what happened on that Thursday'

Bucky's mouth dropped open.

'What? Are you seriously still hung up on that! I already told you nothing happened!'

Sam narrowed his eyes.

'I know you're keeping something from me'

Bucky raised his hands in defeat.

'Fine… But only because I'm so nice'

This surprised Sam. Firstly because it meant Bucky had lied about saying nothing had happened and secondly because it had been so easy to persuade Bucky. But now Sam had to also tell Bucky something that had happened…..
