Book 3: Chapter 6: It'll Be Our Little Secret

Bucky slammed Olivia against a wall and tried to bring her to the elevator. She fought back and was surprisingly strong.

'OW! What the-'

He picked her up and began hauling her towards it. She bit his hand and stomped on his foot. He swore, releasing her.

'What the- Bella! What are you doin-'

He ignored her questions and shoved her against the nearest wall. She was making too much noise. Alex might hear.

Where is Sam?

'HEL-'

Bucky covered her mouth with his hand and began dragging her to through the hallway. They were only metres away but his heels were making it difficult to carry her and walk.

She fought against his hold and almost escaped but he held her tighter. She was panicking.

Suddenly Sam came sprinting from around the corner, holding tweezers and plasters. Bucky sighed in relief.

'Took you long enough'
'Shut up Buck-I mean Bella'

Olivia was looking between them, terrified as they opened the door and pulled her into the elevator. The minute they got in Sam pressed the emergency stop button and Bucky released Olivia. She ran to the opposite wall and stared at them, her eyes wide in fear.

'Why are you doing this?'
'You don't know what we are doing'

Tears began running down her face and Bucky felt guilty. He'd make it up to her after they took the chip out.

'You're gonna kill me'

Sam sighed and looked to Bucky.

'Lets just show her. We are taking the chip out anyway'

Bucky sighed and brought his hand up to the side of his face, pressing a button. His facade flowed away to reveal a man.

Olivia screamed.

'Wh-What? How d-did you get this job?!'

Bucky sighed and took the tweezers from Sam.

'Hold her still'

Sam looked confused and shook his head.

'No. We have to explain first'
'Explain what?! That you're deceiving Alex!?'

Bucky turned to her and sighed. He
began speaking.

'6 months ago we were friends, trying to stop Alex from taking control of the whole city using these 'chips'. He succeeded and chipped everyone except me... And another person'

Olivia narrowed her eyes.

'Why would I believe you?'
'You don't have to. We'll be taking your chip out anyway. It controls you but your memories may have been taken by something else'

Olivia frowned.

'Like what?'
'Well do you take any pills or tablets that Alex supplies you with?'

Olivia thought about it.

'No but he makes me martinis every night'

Sam and Bucky exchanged a look.

'Yeah that's not good'
'Yeah'

Olivia put her head down. She didn't know if she could trust them.

'Olivia after we unchip you everything we say will be clearer so we'll do that first then we'll discuss our plan'

Olivia nodded and let Bucky examine her face. He narrowed his eyes.
