I've been sitting in Payton's driveway for five minutes, waiting for her to come out so we can go to school,

I missed my alarm.
I'm hurrying. Just come
inside. I'm in my room
and the front doors unlocked ]

I got out of my car and walked up on the porch, walking inside the unlocked door. I headed upstairs and to the last room in the hallway which was Payton's.

I walked in but didn't see her,

"Payton!" I called,

"In here!" she hollered back. I smiled and followed her voice to her connected bathroom. I stood in the doorway and watched her straighten her hair,

"I'm sorry" she apologized,

"It's fine Pay. We have time" I laughed, "Do you have your stuff for later? We're going to Calum's then to the party"

"Yeah" she nodded and started gathering her makeup, "Are we spending the night at Calum's?"

I nodded and stopped her as she went to walk past me. She chuckled as my hands grabbed her waist,

"Good morning" I smiled. She smiled, pushed up on her toes, and pressed her lips to mine,

"Let's go. We're gonna be late"

We finally got to school and went straight to English since we were running late,

"Irwin! McCormick! Cutting it close aren't we" Mr. Lee called out as we took our seats, "Did the parking lot makeout session take a little longer than expected?"

Everyone laughed but Payton and I went red. Seconds later my phone buzzed and saw Luke had texted our whole group about what happened. I looked over and glared at him. He just smiled and waved.

"Okay!" Mr. Lee yelled, "We are starting our book reports on The Great Gatsby. You will be working with partners. You can pick your own partners just make sure you both do work"

I looked straight to Payton. She smiled and nodded. Luke scoffed and flipped us both off,

"I'm going to give you the rest of class to work on it" Mr. Lee announced. Everyone broke off and Payton scooted her chair to my desk,

"Now we get to hang out even more" she cheesed, "But you better do work because I'm not doing the whole report by myself"

"I will I will"

After school, we all raced over to Calum's. The party wasn't until nine so we had a shit ton of time. The boys and I played video games while Grace and Payton were gossiping about something,

"Cal, Payton and I are going to your room" Grace yelled,

"Uh okay," Calum dragged as they ran up the stairs.

Calum and Grace have been together for a few years. I know they love each other and I know they'll get married. I strive to be in a relationship like Calum and Grace's. I hope mine and Payton's will be as amazing as theirs. I do really like Payton and I do see her in my life for a long time.
