"Pay! Come downstairs and bring your laptop so we can do that college stuff" my mom yelled up the steps. I groaned and got out of my comfortable bed. I grabbed my computer and headed down to the kitchen where my mom had dinner going since Ashton and his family were coming over in a bit.

I sat at the counter and my mom sat next to me as I logged into my UCLA school portal,

"So we need to fill out the financial aid stuff then do the application for housing" Mom spoke as she looked over what was on the screen,

"Actually, the housing is something I wanted to talk to you about" I bit my lip,

"Yeah? Well, you don't have to live on campus. I just thought you would. If you want to stay here that's fine too" she smiled,

"Well, Ashton and I want to get an apartment"

My mom was quiet for a minute,

"Are you sure honey? I mean you all haven't even been dating for a year" she asked,

"We're so sure. Mom, I have no doubt that Ashton and I won't stay together. And financially, we can do it. We both have jobs and we're getting paid well. Plus both of us have most of college paid for considering you and Anne are both single moms now"

My mom nodded,

"Does Anne know?" she asked,

"I'm not sure. I think so. You two can talk about it tonight" I shrugged,

"Okay. Let me and Anne discuss first"

I smiled and nodded,

"Thanks" I grinned and we got back to filling forms out.

When I finished with all the forms, I headed back up to my room. I grabbed my phone and texted Ashton, shocked when he texted me back so fast considering he was working,

Ash🥰: [ yeah. My mom wanted
to discuss it as well ]

the end of dinner they say yes ]

[ speaking of dinner...
when you getting here ]

Ash🥰: [ awww do you miss me
😂 jk probably in an hour and a half ]

I smiled and decided that I should take a shower first. I quickly hopped in and washed my hair and body before getting out and wrapping a towel around my body. I threw on leggings and a sweatshirt then walked into my room, jumping when I saw Ashton sitting on my bed.

"That was not an hour and a half. That was way shorter" I spoke,

"I know" he grinned, making me laugh and shake my head. I walked to him and he pulled me down to lay on top of him. I gently kissed his lips before pulling back,

"How was work?" I asked,

"Good. I only had to work on like three cars" he shrugged, "Oh our moms are talking about the apartment downstairs"

I grinned,

"I'm pretty sure my mom's okay with it. I think she's really more concerned that we won't stay together" I sighed,

"I promise you, we're staying together"

I smiled and kissed Ashton again, only to be interrupted by our little brothers running in,

"Quite kissing. Dinners ready" Jude spoke then he, Evan, and Harry ran out of the room. Ashton and I slowly got up and headed downstairs to my kitchen where our moms were talking up a storm.

"Hey you two" Anne smiled,

"Hey" I grinned and hugged her.

We all got seated at the table and started eating. Ashton and I kept glancing at each other, waiting for one of our mom's to bring up the apartment thing, finally, Ashton spoke up,

"Have you all decided about the apartment?"

Our moms looked at each other then at us,

"Rent wise, you guys know you can do it?" Anne asked,

"Yeah. We both have jobs. Plus our tuitions aren't that much" I spoke,

"This is a lot of responsibility" my mom added,

"We know" Ashton nodded,

"Okay then. It's okay with us. Just grades gotta stay up"

Ashton and I grinned and hugged each other,

"But, you aren't moving or anything until you finish high school" Anne stepped in,

"We know. The plan was move in July" Ashton told her,

"And remember, this is going to be a big step for you two. You haven't been dating very long so keep that in mind" my mom spoke,

"We know. We got this"
