In three hours, I'll be graduating from high school. Was I excited? Hell yeah. I'm glad I'm graduating with friends too. It's hard to make friends when you move a lot. I never thought I'd graduate with friends by my side, but now I am and one of those friends is my boyfriend who I love a lot. And after graduating, I'm going to college with those same friends.

I got out of the shower and threw on a pair of shorts and a T-shirt, not even worrying about a bra. As I walked back into my room, I jumped seeing Ashton sitting on my bed. I knew he was coming over and we were getting ready then heading to school together.

"Hey" he grinned,

"Hey" I smiled back, walking to him and sitting on his lap and pecking his lips,

"I think we're gonna have to leave in an hour because they want us there so freaking early" Ashton whined,

"I know. I need to dry my hair and do my makeup and stuff then I should be ready" I told him,

"I need to change" he laughed, gesturing to his dress pants and dress shirt that we're hanging gonna hanger over my bedroom door.

"I'm gonna start my makeup" I informed and turned to head back to my bathroom, Ashton following right behind.

He sat on the closed toilet seat and I hopped up on my bathroom counter, sitting cross crossed with all my makeup next to me,

"This seems very time consuming" Ashton muttered, making me laugh,

"You've literally watched me put makeup on a hundred times and you're just now realizing that"

Ashton shrugged and kept watching, watching intently may I add.

I finished my makeup then did my hair. I chose to leave it down and do a small curl to it. Once that was done, I needed to get dressed and so did Ashton. He got changed in my bathroom while I got changed in my room.

Ashton came out of the bathroom and smiled big,

"You look beautiful" he walked toward me,

"You look pretty good too" I smiled. He chuckled and kissed my lips before pulling back and checking the time on his phone,

"We need to get going"

I nodded and grabbed my cap and gown along with my phone and followed Ashton downstairs,

"You two look cute!" my mom gushed, "Be safe. We'll be there later"

I waved bye then got into Ashton's Jeep and we headed towards school.

When we got to school, we saw our friends gathered by Calum's car, already in their caps and gowns. Ashton and I got out and tossed ours on then walked over,

"We've been waiting for you all" Luke commented,

"Sorry" Ashton chuckled as I hugged Grace,

"Shall we head to the football field?" Michael questioned. We all nodded and headed that way, signing ourselves in and checking the seating chart. Unfortunately, I won't be by any of my friends since my last name starts with a 'M'.

After we got to talk, we had to get seated as parents and families started to show up. As I sat and saw my mom and my brothers walk in, I got suddenly emotional. I wish my dad was here. He's supposed to be here. He should've been here.

I shook my thoughts away when I caught Ashton staring at me,

"What's wrong?" he mouthed. I just shook my head. He sent me a sad smile but nodded,

"I love you" I mouthed,

"I love you" he mouthed back then turned around as the ceremony started.

I watched all my friends get their diploma's then it was my turn,

"Payton McCormick"

I walked across the stage grinning, taking my diploma then heading to my seat.

Once everyone had been announced, we all tossed our hats up and ran to find our friends. Grace was the first person I saw and we hugged each other tightly,

"Can your boyfriends get hugs?" We heard Calum cough. Grace and I laughed and hugged our boyfriends then Michael and Luke,

"Let's go find our parents! They all sat together" Michael beamed and we all headed that way. Ashton took my hand and we followed behind as he leaned down,

"What was wrong?" he whispered,

I have his hand a squeeze and sighed,

"I wish my dad was here"

His face fell and he kissed my head,

"He was still watching. I promise"

I nodded then let go of his hand as my little brothers attacked me,

"We're proud of you sissy" Jude hugged me tight,

"Thanks guys" I chuckled.

Everyone took a bunch of pictures, making sure everyone had one with each other and with family.

We got to Michael's house and headed to his granny flat. As we waited for pizza, I sat back and edited a photo of grace and I, then posted it:

"I can't believe I graduated" Michael spoke, making me drop my phone and rest against Ashton,

"I don't know how you had the attendance to graduate" Ashton laughed,

"Now onto UCLA" Luke smiled, "And new apartments"

"Yeah" Grace nodded, "We move at the end of July"

"We love in like next week" I laughed,

"Found our hangout spot" Calum grinned,

"Oh god" Ashton rolled his eyes, "At least call first"

"Maybe"

I laughed and let my head fall against my boyfriend's shoulder as I listened to the conversation going on. But slowly my eyes began to shut, but a smile was still prominent on my face as they talked about our next plans and what is to come soon.
