{ Payton }

"Payton, honey" I heard as my back was rubbed. My eyes slowly opened and I saw my mom,

"What?" I groaned,

"I'm going to pick up Harry and take him and your brothers to school. Ashton's driving you today, right?"

I nodded and closed my eyes again,

"Make sure you get up in time" she reminded as I heard her head out the door, shutting it behind her. But no sooner than it shut, I heard it open again. Once again, I groaned and looked to see who it was- this time it was Ashton himself,

"Good morning" he smiled and kissed my lips,

"You're here early" I mumbled,

"Yeah, I brought Harry here so your mom didn't have to drive to my house"

I nodded and sat up slowly, my whole body aching. I'm still super sore from the wreck and my shoulder is still stuck in the one position.

"Ready for school today?" Ashton asked with a smile. I nodded. Today is my first day back since the wreck, and luckily today is just a half day for seniors,

"Yeah. And we get out early so that's a plus" I laughed and slowly got out of bed,

"You're gonna have to help me get dressed" I bit my lip, knowing I still need help since my shoulder can't move,

"You know I'd never say no to seeing you naked" he smirked, making me roll my eyes, "I can't believe she left knowing I'd have to get you dressed"

"I'm almost positive she knows we're having sex. I'm pretty sure your mom told mine about the night I stayed at yours and she wasn't there and found out"

"Damn" Ashton chuckled as I opened my drawers to grab some clothes. I grabbed leggings and a long sleeve and sat on my bed. I managed to get my bottoms changed but the shirts were the issue.

"So what do we need to do?" Ashton asked,

"I gotta take this sling thing off first. Then we have to get my shirts on and off without moving my arm"

Ashton nodded and helped me out of the sling. Together we got my shirt on and the sling back on,

"Ready to go?" Ashton asked as he picked my backpack up off the ground and I grabbed my house keys. I nodded and we headed out to school.

We got to school and I hopped out of Ashton's Jeep, only to be attacked in a hug by Grace,

"Oh my god! I'm so glad you're okay!" she practically yelled,

"It was just a little wreck Grace" I laughed and hugged the other three boys,

"Payton, that wasn't a little wreck" Ashton's eyes furrowed, "Your car is totaled, it flipped three times, the seatbelt broke and you flew out of the car, and your airbags didn't deploy. Plus, your collarbone came through the skin"

"Yeah Pay, that's not a little wreck" Michael spoke and hugged me again, "We're really happy you're okay"

"Thanks guys" I smiled and went to get my backpack out but saw that Ashton already had it slung over his shoulder. We began walking into school, but still holding a good conversation,

"So what are you doing about a car?" Luke asked,

"We still have my dad's car so I'm getting that. He drove a Range Rover so I'm excited" I shrugged, "But it'll be weird considering it was my dad's car. It might take a lot for me to get in it"

"Well, until you're ready, the five of us are happy to drive you around" Calum grinned,

"I appreciate it"

Since we had a half-day at school, when we got out, Ashton and I decided to get lunch before heading back to my house.

Ashton pulled into the Chick-Fil-A parking lot and he backed into a parking spot. Once the car was off, he got out and came around, and opened my door. Once I was out, he shut the door then grabbed my hand that he was actually able to hold.

We got in line to wait to order. I leaned against Ashton's chest,

"You okay?" he asked, letting his arms wrap around me,

"My shoulder hurts. I just need to take more of my pain pills when I get home" I shrugged,

"Alright. We can try and eat fast then"

I nodded and we inched forward in line.

We stepped up to order and Ashton already had his wallet out,

"How may I serve you all today?" the worker smiled,

"Can I get the eight-count nugget meal with a Dr. Pepper and ranch sauce" I spoke. The girl nodded then looked at Ashton,

"I'll take the spicy deluxe sandwich meal with a lemonade and some honey mustard"

The girl processed our order then handed us our drinks and we went and sat down at a table near the large window.

Our food came to us really quickly and we started to eat, but first I took a Snapchat and posted it,

We got back to my house and I took some more of my pain pills before Ashton and I laid in my bed and turned on a movie.

As we laid there, my head was rested on Ashton's shoulder. He kept kissing my head over and over again before I finally looked up and kissed his lips. That kiss deepened fast and soon Ashton was hovering me, still being careful of my shoulder,

"Just wait until we're living together" he smirked,

"Unlimited kisses with no interruptions" I smiled, letting him fall back on the bed next to me,

"You know, I'm really glad you're okay. When my mom told me what happened, I was pretty scared" Ashton spoke. I knew he was talking about the wreck. I know it freaked him out. He hardly left my side,

"I like to think my dad was watching over me"

"He was. And I'm glad he was" Ashton smiled,

"I hope when we go on our senior trip to DC we go to the Arlington Cemetary. I'd like to go visit my dad" I sighed,

"If we don't, me and you will sneak out of the hotel and go"

"Sounds like a good plan to me"
