Nori belongs to GoodTheSecond

A beautiful seaside view was available to Nori, who sat on one of the few seaside cliffs in the Six Sectors- seaside cliffs being only available in Pacifi, the Seaside Sector. Nori's home.

The girl herself could be considered beautiful in her own right. Pale skin combined with contrasting ocean blue eyes and long aquamarine hair tossed absentmindedly into a ponytail, ridden with knots. Nori wore a long sleeved dark blue dress that went down to her ankles, and no shoes.

Her diamond eyes shone as she watched the sunrise, the purples, yellows, and oranges of the sky reflecting upon the blue sea. A sea that the water nymph had always lived near, even in.

Nori was, in fact, born outside the Six Sectors. She took up residence on the edge of Pacifi's borders, in an underwater cave. That was, of course, perfectly legal. Pacifi was one of the most relaxed of the Six Sectors, at least when it came to citizenship and homes.

"It's so beautiful," Nori said silently to herself, her voice light and melodic. The water nymph stood up and walked towards the edge of the cliff. She looked at the water closely for movement, she'd be able to tell what was there, be it fish or mermaids, sirens or selkies. Sadly, all that Nori saw was fish.

"This is the problem with waking up early," She spoke her thoughts aloud, "Everyone else is asleep."

The nymph walked away from the edge, picking up a lavender purse and slinging it on her shoulder. Barefoot, Nori walked towards one of the many beach cities in Pacifi, hungry but didn't want to get her own food. Go ahead and call her lazy, but the reality is Nori had no idea how to cook, at least not well.

She flashed a friendly smile to the few  folk that were up this early, but most returned her friendly and positive look with one of disgust. Despite this, Nori's happy exposition failed to fade in the least. It was difficult to change her mood, it tended to be very static.

She walked up to a nice looking cafe, and looked up at the sign. "Miss Merizal's Breakfast and Coffee," Nori read aloud, "That sounds perfect."

The young nymph walks inside the cafe. Indeed, it had a very homey feel, with the wood walls and floor, and the fireplace placed on the right side. Nori walked up to the counter, where a friendly looking man with short curly hair stood. He smiled at Nori, although it was most likely because she was a possible customer, he probably would have frowned or gave her a rude look otherwise.

"Hello sir, table for one please," Nori requested softly.

"Alright madame, follow me please," The man said politely, before leading Nori to a table only a few feet away from the fireplace.

Nori was the only customer there, most likely due to how early it was. The man set down a menu for her. "What would you like to drink?" He inquired.

"Just some water, thank you," Nori replied, never really a fan of fancy drinks.

The man nodded and walked away towards the kitchen. Nori glanced at the fireplace. It was warm, and nice to be around. She let out a long, exaggerated sigh of content.

Not long after he left, the man from earlier came back with a glass of water. "Here you go, miss. I will be back soon to take your order," He informs her, before walking back to the counter.

Nori takes a look at the menu. As expected of a Pacifian cafe on the beach, most of the menu related to seafood. Egg and crab muffins, hash browns, various kinds of fish cooked in various ways.

One thing that stood out to Nori, though, was the fact that pancakes were on the menu. Pancakes, waffles, and crepes weren't often seen in Pacifian cuisine. In fact, Nori couldn't remember if she ever had a pancake. She was interested though, and decided that was what she would order.

When the man returned and asked if Nori was ready to order, she nodded. "May I get some pancakes?" Nori questioned.

The man nodded, "Would you like anything else?"

"No sir, that's all, thank you very much."

The man walked away, presumably into the kitchen. Nori hadn't been paying enough attention to be sure. She was too busy thinking, now. Why did they add pancakes to the menu? More importantly, who in Pacifi knew how to cook them?

Pacifian cuisine had always been very definite and reliant on the sea. Milk had usually been left out, as it was annoying to obtain. One would have to go to the capital and hope that the shipments from the farms, which reside outside The Six Sectors, had arrived.

Nori didn't know much about pancakes, but she was almost certain that milk was part of the recipe. Yes, the biggest thing that occupied Nori's thoughts was pancakes. It was sad, really.

The man came back with a plate of gold-tan coloured pancakes. Their sweet aroma wafted through the well lit room, eventually reaching the water nymph, snapping her out of her thoughts. She looked up, and towards the man.

"Here you go, Miss, pancakes as requested," He set the pancakes down on the table, before grabbing her menu.

"Thank you," Nori said to the man, taking a bite of the pancake. She was surprised with the delicious flavour and soft texture, "This is good!"

The man walked away and Nori sighed. It was going to be a long day, she could tell.
