Kaithenne screamed as blaster bolts hit the truck. Ben, Helo, Nassa, and Aeris were doing all they could against the Ijetixian guards. Helo had tackled Nori, and while she had been out, Helo had told Kaithenne about his crush on her. She decided to try and help him, and told him to treat her nicely.
Now was not a good time for romantic gestures. Saturn had gotten next to her, "How long do you think until the truck can start running? I'm not sure if the others can last too much longer..."
"Just a few more minutes!" Kaithenne pulled some fuel over. "The tank is empty! I have to fill it!" A bolt nearly hit her and she screamed. She heard Helo cry out as he was shot.
"We need to find fuel," Saturn says, "I could ask Nassa to try to distract them so we can slip out and find it." Kaithenne nodded. That meant she had to be quick. She sprinted away. It wasn't long before she found the designated fuel. Nassa's roars could be heard loudly- she was pulling more danger to herself so Kaithenne could get fuel, Kaithenne assumed. She grabbed what she needed - enough for a full tank, and ran back. When she got there, Ben was trying to defend the truck by himself, as the two others were down. She quickly filled the tank, biting her lip.
"It's ready!" She called. She looked over to make sure everyone was either in, or getting in the truck. Once she did so, she got in. The engine started with a roar and Saturn drove off, busting a hole through the wall. A sigh of relief was released.
"I can't wait to get as far away from here as possible," Saturn said.
"Same here," Nori and Nassa added. "Me three. I'm done with this place." Helo chimed in. Ben got up.
"Our pit stop will be Synthcy for weapons and repairs. Plus to drop off Energon. He will be safer with the boss Helo mentioned." He said. "Lerivia is too much of a target." Helo sat up.
"I'll lead the way to Mr. Astonike's shop. We can stop for a bite as well." He smiled. "You haven't lived until you've tasted Synthcian cuisine." Kaithenne could hear everyone's - especially hers - stomach growl.
"Must you talk about food?" Nassa grumbles. She was pulling a dart out of her hoof, still in wendigo form. Helo frowned and shrunk up. Kaithenne sighed.
"Must you be a jerk? Helo was just excited about seeing his home again. I'd do the same thing if we were going to Oncewynn." She said in a calm tone. Ben nodded.
"We're all just about ready to go home - all of us."
"You can say that again," Saturn chimes in, "But I think we should try to stick together, as much as we can at least. I bet that we've become very wanted by Ijetix considering what just happened." Ben nodded.
"We'll need an outfit change. Anyone got any disguise ideas?"
"I can repaint my doorwings." Helo suggested. Kaithenne was surprised. Helo loved his doorwings.
"I can make my eyes less red and cut my hair," Nassa says, "There's not much I can do about my horns though."
"I don't know how I'd be disguised. Fur dye?" Saturn questions.
"I'm not exactly certain for myself either," Aeris adds. Kaithenne thought for a bit. Then she snapped her fingers.
"I got it!!" She cried. Everyone turned to look at the fae.
"What?" Nori asked, her voice still a bit hoarse but not as bad.
"A spell! I can make a disguise! However, I have no control on what you look like." Kaithenne suggested. Helo smiled.
