I had known Helo since he was ten. He was lost and alone, and skinny. Helo was in a girlish outfit, and his hair was long. He saw me and yelped, but I picked him up anyway. It was difficult with the giant doorwings. I remember them being a radiant yellow. They still are as he stands on the altar with Nori. I smile as I watch the ceremony, Moonstrike sitting next to me. I remember Helo would wake up in the middle of the night, calling out for him while crying. I had cut his hair short after learning his situation and had even gotten his first binder for him. I practically raised him.

I was like a proud father as I watched him raise his wings as the two of them began to exchange vows.

"Heliosray Orion Wheeldon, do you take Nori Azeline May Crateus to be your lawfully wedded wife?" Tehya asked. Helo was in a yellow and black tux with a black tie. His wings fluttered with happiness.

"I do." He said with a smile.

"And do you, Nori Azeline May Crateus, take Heliosray Orion Wheeldon to be your lawfully wedded husband?" President Herizo asked.

"Always." Nori responded.

"You may kiss." Tehya said with a smirk. And then the two did it. The best part was that Helo was doing it with the girl of his dreams as a man. Sure, he still needed top surgery, but that was going to change.

I had gotten him a wedding present.

"Welcome, Heliosray Orion Wheeldon, and Nori Azeline May Wheeldon," Herizo announced with a smile.

A cheer uproared from the crowd Helo hugged his girl. I got off my seat and patted my leg so that Energon in his little bowtie could follow me. I got over to Helo and Nori and smiled.

"Helo. Nori." I hand Helo an envelope. "I figured you both could benefit from this." Helo took it and opened it. I saw the tears welling in his eyes as he put a hand over his mouth.

It was 2 things. One was an official birth certificate that said his new name and the other was a scheduled appointment to get gender reassignment surgery. "Mr. Astonike...." Helo was at a loss for words, I could tell.

Nori was speechless for a moment, before smiling even more than usual. A genuine, thankful smile. "I don't know if this can ever be repaid, and neither do I know if the gratitude can truly be expressed with words, but thank you, sir."

"I figured if you two were going to help each other out, Helo shouldn't have to bind in order to be the man he wants to be for you. And you shouldn't have to deal with the anxiety of him binding like he does." I turned to look at my protege. "Especially with how he binds."

"Hey!" He laughed through his tears, drying his eyes. "I'm not that bad!"

"You sure about that? Because I remember the time that you had to go to the hospital, I think it was in Pacifi," Nori remarked with a doubtful look at Helo.

"Okay fair enough." Helo laughed again, Energon leaping into Nori's arms with a warble. He was the size of a great dane now, and apparently, his kind can have eggs despite being male or female. So Helo is hoping for dragon hatchlings.

I told him I laid dibs on one.
