"Thank you Tehya for giving us a ride." Helo said with a bow. The leader laughed.
"Hey, any friend of my daughter is an ally of mine. Especially if they hate Hanity." She looked at Nassa. Helo didn't know the whole story, but he was glad Nassa found a family. "You be safe, okay, Nass?" Tehya hugged her.
"I will," She hugs back. It was strange to see the two, but Helo didn't question it. It was Tehya and Nassa's business, not his.
"Alright, let's go." Ben said as he finished loading up with Helo and the others. Helo did a Synthcian salute and Tehya did one back. Then he got into the driver's seat, glad to be in the look of Helo and not Sunny. That whole thing was terrible, but necessary.
"Everyone buckled up? Next stop, Cogswatch!" He called back.
"We're all buckled in," Nori confirms. Helo nodded and started the engine, zooming off. The vehicle felt great to drive.
It felt familiar, and not like the Ijetixian van. He smiled.
"It can't be just me that thinks riding in a car feels odd," Nori says, "Or is it just me?"
Nassa shrugged in response. "It doesn't feel that weird."
"It's a hover car. It sorta floats. I have a bike version." Helo called to the back.
"Huh, that's cool. I've never actually been in a vehicle before," Nori says. Helo nearly choked on his own spit.
"What?! Are you serious?" He asked in disbelief.
"Yes?" She says, "Wait, I probably was brought to Ijetix in a vehicle. Correction: I have never been in a vehicle while conscious."
"It makes sense, she lives in Pacifi, probably within walking distance of everywhere she needs to be," Nassa says. Helo smiled.
"Well then, this should be a blast then. These are pretty popular in Synthcy!" Helo drifted on a part of the road, whooping.
"Okay," Nori said, slightly confused but just going with it anyway.
Helo was enjoying this. He loved vehicles. Or anything tech-wise in general. It was his passion as a mechanic. In fact, if he had stayed in Cyberica - his birth planet - he would've been able to pick his base for his wheel armor a year ago. He never did, however, cause he ran away to Synthcy and was taken in by Jarvistan. He would've loved to scan something, though. He perked up his doorwings as he stopped at the Cogswatch border.
"Ben! Where to now?" He called.
"To the forge where my grandmother and I work at. We can rest up there." Ben answered. Helo nodded, speeding off again, dust flying up. The car stood out against the victorian styled area. He stopped at the only forge around and parked, everyone hopping off.
"You said you and your grandma work here?" Nori asks Ben.
"Yep. She's crazy, so fair warning." He opened the door.
An old lady that looked similar to Ben looked up, a smile forming on her wrinkled face. "Knightingale! Wheatboy! Tehya told me you were coming this way! She wrote yesterday." She came out from behind the counter.
"Hey, Granny." Benjamin hugged his grandmother. Kaithenne giggled.
"Wheatboy, huh?" She asked Wheatley with a snicker. Wheatley went red in the face and shrunk up a bit.
"Aww, that's adorable!" Nori giggles a bit.
"Hello Miss," Nassa greets. Helo smiled.
"You all must be Ben's friends!" Granny said with a smile. Ben chuckled.
