All Wheatley saw was WATER.
Which was normal, this was Pacifi, but it was too much for him. He hated water. Every inch of it. Wheatley put the cloak over his head. He couldn't handle it.
"Wheatley?" He looked to see Ben looking at him. "You okay?" Wheatley only nodded.
"Yeah." He said simply, walking off. The sand burned his feet.
Nori was practically screaming, she was happy, at least. Nassa was, well, Nassa. She didn't seem to care where she was or that there was water there. She walked up to Wheatley. Wheatley saw her and hid his face. He knew his feelings now. He couldn't put Nassa in danger, however. What if his mother got her. He sighed. Maybe it was time to take the Ijetixian approach. Maybe he should be emotionless. He went to the beach, watching the water. It touched his toe and he yelped, sounding like a little girl. His eyes got wide.
"You don't like water?" Nassa asked. Wheatley looked at her and recomposed himself.
"No, I don't." He said in a monotone voice to try the emotionless way.
"I don't mind water, but I'm not a fan. Alkippe loves it though. It's annoying sometimes," Nassa looked at the ocean. Wheatley sighed.
"I know what you're doing. You can't love me. You'll only get hurt." He walked off. He suddenly tripped and fell into the water, getting taken by a riptide. "AH!" Salt water blurred his vision as he sank.
"WHEATLEY!" Aeris, who had been looking over everyone, yelled.
Then the strangest thing happened. A large seal, as long as a human is tall, swam over to Wheatley and used it's flippers to gesture towards wheatleys arms ind it's shoulder-neck area- er, if they could be considered shoulders. Wheatley tried to take a breath, but he inhaled on salt water. He coughed and sank. All he was was blue. He saw the seal before he passed out.
Wheatley choked up water and he tried to get up. He groaned, trying to open his eyes. He could barely see anyone. The seal, though, was in front of him, watching him, almost looking... concerned? Can a seal look or be concerned? Wheatley got up.
"Huh... never thought a seal would save me." He coughed up some more water.
"Not a seal," The 'seal' said, in english. Wheatley screamed and nearly fell into the water again.
"HOLYIJETIX-" He yelped, thankful he had stopped at the edge.
"Easy! Don't want you falling in. Sorry, probably should've shifted back to my human form before speaking. Guess it's too late now."
"Wait- you're a selkie, aren't you?" Wheatley asked, sitting up. "Sorry for screaming."
"Yep. It's all good, I could tell you haven't been to Pacifi before," The seal transformed into a human with a fuzzy t-shirt and shorts, "Zion, by the way."
"Wheatley." Wheatley answered. "Thank you for saving me, Zion. Almost thought I'd drown." He looked at the water and scooted away from it. Nope.
"I can grab one of the small boats at the shore and bring you back to shore," Zion says, "I would have brought you straight to shore, but the current brought you far so here was closer."
"Yeah... Dad's probably worried about me." Wheatley said as he eyes the water. He hated it. It was just like the river, but worse.
"I'll be back in a minute," He jumped into the water and swam away.
Wheatley backed away from the water. His first experience hadn't went so well. He had fallen into a river and had nearly drowned, if he hadn't grabbed a branch. His robotics had been fizzing and crackling, sending sparks. Wheatley shuddered. He had been scared that day. Same with the current situation.
