A fae with ivory skin and platinum blonde hair walked up to a bakery. She stood within the village of Oncewynn, cobblestone clicking under her feet. The village was a large town, but small compared to the other sectors. The houses were made of wood, and looked similar to cottages. All in all, Oncewynn had a homey feel.

This was the home of 17-year-old Kaithenne Woodsley, a fae girl whos always had mischief up her sleeves. Everyone knew her, and therefore knew she was one for causing trouble. Kaithenne went into the bakery, the coarse dirt path harsh to her sensitive feet. Opening the door, the aroma of fresh baked bread and sweets wafted around her, making her smile as she breathed it in.

"Good Morning, Mr. Estar!" Kaithenne called to the baker in a friendly tone as she walked inside, looking at the shelves lined with bread and pastries, "How's business so far today?" she asked, approaching the counter. "Ah, you know how it is!" Mr. Estar - a baker with a brown beard and bald head - walked to her from behind the wooden counter. "Everyone comes for their breakfast pastry here. Now what can I get ya?" He asked with a twinkle in his gray eyes. Kaithenne thought for a second.

"Actually, I was wondering, could you show me how you make your sweet rolls? You know how much I like them," She gave him a friendly smile, her own grey eyes showing that the smile was, in fact, legitimate.

"Alright then! Come on in from behind the counter!" Mr. Estar said after a moment, opening a door for her. "It takes a bit to do these, so no funny business!" His voice was grim. His face showed it too. Kaithenne nodded as she faked offense. "Me? Funny business? I would never! Okay, maybe I would...but not now!" Kaithenne added, following Mr. Estar farther into the kitchen.

Mr. Estar lit the oven and let it warm up, heading over to the storeroom. "Find a large bowl, will ya?" he said as he heaved a large sack of flour into the workspace, plopping it on the table with a huff. “Got it!” Kaithenne said, gving a quick salute with a wink. She pulled a medium mixing bowl out of the cupboard, the stone floor cold beneath her feet. She set the dish down beside Mr. Estar, who had arranged an expansive arrangement of ingredients on the wooden counter.

Kaithenne made a mental note of which ingredients were there. The expression she wore on her face might have been called something like innocence. What they didn’t know was that she was secretly plotting. She was always plotting. Kaithenne's eyes twinkled with mischief, the only well-hidden indication that her look of innoffense could ever be feigned.

Mr. Estar showed her which ingredients to mix, soon hearing the door’s bell tinkle. A customer. Just what she needed. "I'll be right back. Do not touch anything. And I mean it." He chided as he ran off. As soon as he was out of view, Kaithenne smirked. It was showtime.

She worked quickly, swapping the salt and sugar, before pausing. That didn't seem like enough chaos...besides, it was cliche. She switched the baking soda with the flour. Yes, that would be perfect.

"Time to fly!" Kaithenne said, giggling as she opened the window and climbed out, fluttering her tattered wings. She felt the warm grass underneath her bare feet as she took off. It sure paid to be quick on your feet! Otherwise, she wouldn't be as fast as she was at the moment.

It had only been ten minutes before a loud yell was heard by the runaway. "KAITHENNE, WHERE ARE YOU AND WHAT DID YOU DO!?" Mr. Estar called. He hadn't seen anything yet, but Kaithenne having up and disappeared was as good a warning sign as any.

It had been awhile before she reached her hut. The small cottage was enough to fit one person, which was perfect for the fae girl. She walked inside and laughed, twirling around.

Kaithenne was careful, she knew that if anyone else knew the location of her hut, they could actually punish her about her harmless pranks! It's not like she had ever hurt anybody. Besides, it was all in the spirit of fun anyway.

Kaithenne went into her cupboard and grabbed some food, putting it on a plate and going to a table. Then, she sat down and bit into a roll, chewing it gratefully. Oncewynn was always quiet. Her prank livened the place up a little. At least that was what she thought.

However, sadly, the other inhabitants didn't agree. Thus, she often found herself in a lot of trouble due to her little, harmless pranks. The worst that happens is something goes wrong that's out of Kaithenne's control, but it's never so bad that it can't be fixed.

Kaithenne sighed and bit into her roll. The sweetness of the pastry burst on her tongue. She hummed. Kaithenne really did love those rolls. She thought they were the best in all of the Six Sectors. Probably were the only ones in the Six Sectors. And more than likely weren't there, in the Forbidden Sector.

Or, as it was called formally, Ijetix, Sector of Science. However, not much was known about the people who ended up in Ijetix. Unless they are from there, they never get out. Kaithenne shivered at the thought. Trapped in Ijetix, forever!

Kaithenne pushed the thought from her head. It was a good thing she was in Oncewynn. She always heard stories of people being abducted. Kaithenne was always lucky. She had come close 3 times.

Probably had to do with the fact that Kaithenne had always been good at avoiding getting caught. Otherwise, who knows what would have become of her with all the pranks she had pulled! She smiled at the thought, that she couldn't be caught. Kaithenne knew she still had to be careful though, she could get caught, no matter how unlikely it was.

A knock sounded on her door. Getting up, she cautiously went to the door. "Who's there?" She asked. No answer. She opened the door.

And a muffled scream erupted from her lips.
