Chap 38- Project: Boy In Luv

"Wow, it's been bad, but it's getting worse. What's gotten into him lately?" Jin's frustrated voice rings through the practice room.

"I asked him to eat with me over text yesterday and guess how he replied? One single dot! Is that supposed to mean he'll eat with me, or that he won't?" Seokjin let's out a frustrated sigh.

"He did it to you too, hyung? I asked him to practice dancing with me and was confused because he sent a single dot" Hoseok frowned.

"He sent me a single dot when I asked him to go eat lamb skewer with me, too" Yoongi adds.

"I think that single dot is positive, though I mean, guess who has gotten one...." Namjoon shares his opinion with us.

"It's me, I'm the winner. He just leaves me on read" Taehyung puts up his hand in the hair.

The guys stop getting worked up and turn to cast pitying looks at Taehyung.

"You must've been so anxious when the 'I'm next to your message disappeared" Yoongi says.

"Taehyung, don't call 119 when you're hurting. Call me instead, okay?" Namjoon gives Taehyung a pat.

Everyone's suffering because a certain someone's pretending not know them and acting cold, even though they know he can't push them away.

-Lily's POV-

"Manager! jungkook's acting really strange lately. What do you think's going on?" Jimin asks before I could step a foot in the practice room.

What?

The certain someone is none other than BTS's make, Jeon Jungkook. Jungkook has become quieter and more distant lately.....to the rest of the group's frustration. I better find out the cause of Jungkook's sudden change and solve this misunderstanding!

But how do I do that?

That's when I spot Jungkook's practice log sticking out of the bookcase. Without thinking, I reach for it.

Just a peak won't hurt! Maybe there's an answer in here.

I peel open the pages carefully and am shocked at what I find. There's nothing written hear! Just a single dot!!

"What are you doing, manager?"

"Ah! You scared me, Jimin!"

When are these boys gonna stop doing that?

"You must be curious about Jungkook, too." Jimin smiles and gestures to the practice log in my hands.

"Ah, this? It's....um... Hah, you're right. J wanted to know why Jungkook's acting like that" I let out a sigh.

"Actually.... I have a bunch. Take a look at this" Jimin holds his phone out to me. I can see the comments on a performance video of 'Boy In Luv'.

"Look a tough baby n luv hiding between all the boys in luv"

"Wow the maknae looks so young aww"

"Was he born yesterday? He's at least 10 years short of being a tough guy"

"Jungkook's been reading the comments" Jimin says.

"So he's being brusque.....on purpose? To seem tougher?" I ask out loud.

"Right. What he's doing is exactly what comes up when you search for 'How to he a tough guy' online"

"He refuses to use an umbrella when it rains"

"I don't need an umbrella. I can just run"

"He only showers using cold water"

"I don't need warm water. I can just be fast"
