Chap 39- First Time Nominee

"Wowow...." Taehyung couldn't help but be amazed.

"We're coming on, it's our turn! Hyung, hyung! Manager! It's our turn!" Jungkook starts to ramble in excitement.

Yes, thankfully he's back to himself. Finally!

"Shhh..." Seokjin shushes him.

All the members stop what they're doing and focus intently on the TV in the green room.

"The last 1st place nominee is BTS, showing off their tough sides with Boy In Luv. Text votes are open until the end of show and are really important...." The MC says.

"If you're human, you should vote! This is a historical moment, seriously..." Jimin says

"Hah... What do I do? I get butterflies every time I remember that we're nominated" Taehyung grins.

"Isn't it amazing? I still can't believe it" Hoseok says.

"If we actually end up getting 1st..." Namjoon trails off.

"If we do. I'll start believing in miracles" Yoongi chuckles.

There's a quick rap on the door, and then a staff member appears.

"Since BTS is one of the nominees today. You'll be standing next to the MC" The staff starts to explain what they have to go. The members stare wide-eyed.

"We're going to be standing right in front... This idea a first and it feels so bizarre" Taehyung says.

"Oh, please remember. We only have 6 mics here. So you'll need to get another much from the MC if you win to perform at your encore, okay?" The staff further explains and leaves the green room, closing the door behind him.

"Who do I need to hand my mic off to?" We heard probably the MC asking the staff on the other side of the door.

"This is no joke... What if we really do with 1st?" Hoseok asks.

"Yeah... My hands are getting cammy" Namjoon whispers.

Finally, it's time to announce the week's number 1 song.

"..... And our last nominee is BTS, back with tough Boy In Luv!! Now, it's time announce this week's number 1 song!"

This nervous expressions make me nervous, too.

"The final scores are in! This weeks number 1 is..."

2 weeks later~

"Ah, it froze again. It's been doing this a lot lately. This doesn't help my workflow" Namjoon's frustrated voice echoes the studio.

"Let me see. I'll try. You have to be very technical and use the 3-3-7 top techniques" Seokjin hits the computer tower in the specified rhythm, but it still didn't work.

"Did the computer turn off again? I'll try talking to it" That's when Taehyung enters the studio and decided to help.

He runs over hands raised. Taehyung leand towards the computer tower and puts his ear to it.

"Hm.. You don't want to work right now? You're not healthy? Okie. I got it. It says it wants to rest for a bit" Taehyung turns towards us and says.

"Yeah. Let's take a break. But hey,.... Taehyung.... Can you please take that off the wall?" Hoseok's pointing to a paper stuck to the wall. It reads, 'congratulations on 3rd place BTS'"

"Why? Does it remind you of crying when you saw that we got 10,000 text votes?" Jungkook teased.

"N-no. I didn't cry. I'm telling you, I had dust in my eyes" Hoseok denies.

"Seriously... Our song got 3rd! We're 3rd in the whole country! I still can't believe it" Jimin flashes an eye smile.

"The 3rd place was as precious as a 1st place win! We came first in text votes" Seokjin eyes glint, surely proud of them.

"We need to repay our fans by working hard to put out even more great music" Namjoon reminds them.

"The next step is to work hard and and produce a huge full-length album!" Hoseok says agreeing.

"On that note... Should we get back to work, Yoongi hyung?" Namjoon turns to look at Yoongi.

"....... I'm gonna step out for a second" Yoongi looks up from his cell phone, and gets abruptly to his feet. The door slams shut behind him.

"Hm... Suga hyung... Did our 3rd place win upset him that much?" Jungkook stops munching on his chips and asks.

Yoongi's grim expression won't stop bothering me.

I should talk to him.

I rush out of the foot and spot Yoongi walking away, his head bowed down and his face abscured.

"You seem fond of it. Are you really selling? I'm glad to find something so rare, but..." Yoongi spots near a guy and hands out something as the guy speaks.

Huh? That's.... That's some of Yoongi's productive equipment!

"I am, yeah. I'm planning to sell it to buy a better one" Yoongi replies.

"You seem familiar... Haven't I seen you...?"

"N-no. Goodbye" Yoongi bows goodbye almost like he's avoiding having to answer. He leaves quickly. Wait

He's coming this way!

"Oh? Manager?" Yoongi's steps were too quick I couldn't hide. He's shocked that he can't hide how flustered he is.

"Did you....see?" Yoongi hesitantly asks.

"Yeah.... I saw" I sheepishly agreed not wanting to lie.

"I appreciate your honestly, but what's with that face?" He sounds a lot more at ease compared to just a moment ago.

"I'm saying this because you saw... But pretend you didn't. Please. And don't feel bad for me. Alright? Promise?"

It's like Yoongi and I have a secret now. I didn't know how things were like this. Now that I think about it, even earlier....

"Ah, it froze again. It's been doing this a lot lately. This doesn't help my workflow"
