Chap 31- Burn The Stage

"Manager, I'm gonna get some water. I'm thirsty" Jungkook says getting up from the couch in the green room.

"You've had like 5 cups already...." He was already out of the room before I could finish my sentence.

"Excuse me, I need to go to the bathroom" Namjoon also got up from his seat.

"Didn't you go like 5 minutes ago?" I mumbles.

*Zzzz Zzzz*

"Huh? Taehyung fell asleep?" I turned around when I heard the snoring noise.

"He took 3 calming herb pills. That must be a side affect" Yoongi says.

Mine 5 minutes until sound check. They were lively and energetic until we got into the green room.

"Are you guys....nervous?" I ask as soon as Namjoon and Jungkook came back to room.

"....We looked at the auditorium. The stage was huge and we couldn't even count how many seats there were! It's nothing like the birthday party" Seokjin reveals.

"What if we forget the lyrics or miss a beat? This is a LIVE show. What if I mess up the broadcast?" Jimin asks tapping his foot on the room tiles nervously.

"'It's a lie!' Ah, ah. 'It's a lie!!' Manager, my voice... It won't..." Jungkook whines.

Everyone is so nervous. What should I do? What would a great manager do at a time like this?

"Guys! I looked it up and the internet says stretching can help you relax. Come, on. Follow me. Stretch out your arms...and your legs..." I motioned them to follow my movements.

"Li-like this?" Jungkook asks.

"Yes, and to your side.... Gah! Ahh!"

"Manager?!" Jimin came to my rescue.

Our warm up turn into a sudden slapstice routine against my expose. For a few seconds, no one speaks.

"Pfft....fft... Hmm... Hahahaha" They all starts to crack up.

"Whoa, that woke me up. Manager, you're a goofball" Taehyung coo's at me.

"Just like me" Seokjin says.

"Ahaha... Did I overdo it? Anyway, you're not nervous anymore right?" I grin at them.

"It's a lie. You such a liar" 🎶

Sound check is almost over. If they keep doing it like this, we won't have any problem.

"See me see me ya-" 🎶 Jungkook vanishes from the stage.

"Jungkook! Jungkook!" I hurried towards where Jungkook stood a minute ago.

"Manager..." Jungkook's voice comes from under the stage. I find the smashed temporary patch in the stage floor. Jungkook must have fallen through.

"Jungkook, are you alright? Grab my hands" Jungkook grabs my hand and I help him out.

"Is he alright?" Namjoon asks as he sat down at the other side of Jungkook.

"Are you hurt? Let me see your legs" I say.

"..... I'm fine" He says.

"Are you sure? I heard the thud when you fell" Seokjin asks him again.

"I slipped a little, that's all" Jungkook says.

"But still...you should get checked out" Taehyung says worried.

"What? No. I don't need to. I need to grab something from the green room" He strides away as if nothing happened.

"I'm so glad he wasn't hurt" Jimin says relieved.

"Is he really okay.....?" I mumble.

Not believing Jungkook's lie I followed him.

"Ouch..." He sits in the empty green room, his pants rolled up so he can check his ankle.

"Jungkook!" I called out.

"Manager..."

"Your ankle looks swollen. Why did you say you weren't hurt?" I glared at him.

"I can't let you dance like that. I need to cancel today's performance and take you to a doctor" I got up from the sitting position I was in to check on Jungkook's ankle.

"No" Jungkook grabs my wrist hand.

"Manager, I want to be on stage. We have to debut today. We've worked top gard for this. I want to make our dream come true. Can't i? Please?" He starts to plead.

I know how you're feeling Jungkook. But you're hurt.....

Still remember how they felt when they for rejected more than once Lily. The really have to debut today.

"......yes. You can" Sighing I decided to trust Jungkook. For his pride and the rest of the group's.

"Thank you, Manager" I ruffled his hair as he grins at me.

I splint his ankle and we rejoin the rest of the group backstage.

"Manager! Jungkook! What kept you so long?" Namjoon asks as he saw us approach them.

"Jungkook, are you alright?" Yoongi asks.

"Yes, hyung. I feel great" Jungkook answers.

"Manager! This is it, right? We're really going to debut, right?" Taehyung asks excited.

Jungkook meets my eyes and nods.

"Yes. Today's the day" I say smiling at them.

"Bangtan Boys, standby!" One of the staff announced us.

The member's eyes light up like shining stars.

"Let's have a fighting chant" Namjoon says.

"Wait, let's do it with our manager" They were about to the chant when Jungkook stopped them. He pulls my hand into the pills with all of theirs. Warmth from their hands spreads into mine.

"Bangtan Bangtan Bangbangtan!!" We all yells.

June 13, 2013. Bangtan Boys made their debut to the world.
