"Did you forget that I was thrown out of house?? Plate enna?? I had to do so many menial jobs for survival" he said lost in thoughts.

She looked at him and his pain was very much evident. In order to divert his attention, she took a spoon of rice and said "Ashwiney Aaa.." and fed him.

"Enna?? ok va??" she asked.

"Super ah irukku! But unga anna va idha vachi convince panna mudiyuma ? I am not sure" he said doubtfully.

"Well I cannot guarantee that.. But I think there are some things that are to be cleared face to face" she said as she dropped the spoon along with the dishes to be washed.

"What if he is still angry??" Ashwin asked getting down the kitchen counter.

"Fall in his feet. It's as simple as that" she smiled as she went to lift the cooker to transfer the contents to a bowl.

"What??" Ashwin asked

"Ofcourse..Neenga panna velaikku...idellam onnume illa." she said concentrating on the biriyani.

"Avan kooda than thappu pannan.." he said as he pulled the cooker from her hand casually and started transferring it to the bowl.

"But your mistake was a blunder.. Would you have kept quiet if someone behaved the same way as you did on your sister's engagement party?" she asked as a matter of fact.

Ashwin had to keep quiet and agree to her. What he did on the engagement day was indeed a blunder.

Door bell rang and Ashwin looked at Shivani with a tint of uncertainty in his eyes.

"Ponga.." she signaled him to open the door.

Rakshan, Pavithra , and Shivani sat in the dining table while Ashwin bought the pot of hot biriyani. Once he confirmed everything was ready, he settled down in front of Rakshan next to Shivani.

"Biriyani vasana floor varaikum varudhu" Pavi commented trying to break the ice.

"Naan than pannen" Shivani sqeaked in excitement.
