When Our Paths crossed..

Her Dimples! His Eyes!!

She had no freaking idea on why she listened to him. But she fell for that husky voice AGAIN. She placed her hand on his left shoulder and he felt her weight on his legs. She lifted her right leg but hesitated to keep it on his foot. The soft breeze rushed through the open window and brushed their faces gently. Her loose hair danced to the music in air. Her hands were cold like ice and his body was warm glittering all over with sweat. When her cold hands came in contact with his warm body, she shivered. She felt weird yet eternal. Before she could loose balance, hesitating to land her right foot on his, he pulled her closer holding her waist, making her stand.

She tried her level best, to restrict herself with minimal touch, but it wasn't possible.

"Alexa..Music" he said and looked at her.

"Look at me" he said slowly under his breath. Probably their close proximity made him whisper. Her hazel balls met his that moment. Her discomfort fascinated him. Her eyes sparkled. "When did you grow up like this??" he thought. He had been with her in all stages of her life. A girl full of life, smile and innocence, suddenly seemed to posses him. How did he miss to see this beautiful version of her!

He swayed her gently to the music. Both of them had no idea of what music was going on...They were already lost in a different world. A world where they heard their own music or the better phrase would be they were moving to the rhythm of their heart beats lost in each other's eyes.

He always complemented her dimples, but checking her dimples at such close proximity, gave him a different tangy feeling. She noticed that his eyes had some magic to pull her. After all his eyes were her weakness. She had completed countless school records for him just because he would request her with his base husky voice and plead with these strong eyes.

But the beautiful moment, didn't last even for a few minutes.

"Tring.. Amma calling" Alexa shouted bringing them out of their magical world.

She was the first one to come out of the trance and stepped down immediately creating a space between them. "Accept.." he murmured, little irritation very much evident in his voice.

"Dei Ashwin...Rendu perum enna panringa??" his mother's voice echoed through Alexa making the environment more awkward.

Unknowingly he almost scanned the room to see if his amma would magically appear from somewhere.

"Saptingala?" she shouted again from Alexa.

"Vela irukku.." Shivani signaled and went to her room.

"Ashwin disconnected the phone from Alexa and moved to balcony.

She closed the door and sat on the bed. She suddenly felt her throat dry. The wall that she had built around her almost had a crack today. She wanted someone to hold tight. Tell her it's alright. She closed her eyes. When he pulled her towards him, she heard his heartbeat. Her fantasy to hold a tall man so that she can hear his heart beat came true. But she was not happy. She struggled. She was confused. She went to her work table and picked her mother's picture. Unknowingly tears rolled down her cheeks.

For almost an hour, she tried her best to concentrate on her work. But she wasn't getting her focus which frustrated her more.

"Shivani.." he knocked the door and then peeked in.
