'They're gone'

I woke up with too much silence. I can't blame them tho. It's hard to stay with someone who just killed two people.

I let out a huff. This is new.

I sat down for a bit, before grabbing my backpack and walking out the small house.

"Oh unnie? You're leaving?"

Someone asked as I walked out the front door. There stood Yujin and Wonyoung with small woods in there hands.

Am I dreaming? "I.. uhh?.." I was cut off when the door suddenly open, revealing a frantic Minju with wide eyes.

.

"That's mean. You really thought we ditched you?" Yujin said, pouting. Not gonna lie, i found her cute with that.

After what happened earlier, I realized that the high schoolers went out to find wood sticks for cooking. While Minju, was quietly preparing the food to be cooked. I was dumb to assume too early and judge them.

Guess, I was wrong.

"I'm sorry, ok?" I said, not looking back at them.
"Anyways, we only have two stops left  before we reach the nearest boarder.. right Minju?" I continued, still not looking back.

"Yeah" a voice pops out beside me, making me jumped a little.

I swear to god. She needs to stop  that.

"Sorry" she giggles. "How's your wounds?" she asked.

"Better. I guess. It's nice to have an acting nurse in the group" I stated, looking back. I smirked, seeing Wonyoung being flustered with whatever Yujin is saying.

"Those two helped a lot" she agreed. I snickered.
"Yah! I helped too!" she countered.

"Being too loud doesn't help at all" I said sarcastically. This girl really can't control her voice. She's getting louder and louder each day. I don't know if it's Yujin's influence, but she needs to stop geez.

She rolled her eyes. Then walked back, leaving me at front. Tch.

It took the four of us almost five hours to reach our stop for this day.

The sun's almost out when we found a nice place to stay for the night. We left at noontime from the last stop. It's their decision, not me. They thought it'll be better for me to rest for a little bit more.

It helped tho. They're considerate. I like it.

We found a bricked house a little distant from some pile of houses. I didn't know if we're in a village or something really. The houses looked pretty much destroyed, everything looked like a mess here.

Luckily, the bricked house looked pretty good. The roofs gone but it's okay for me. There wasn't much of those things around, as I did my routine of checking around. Maybe the bombs killed them.

We made a little fire, just enough to light our place. Minju and Wonyoung prepared the food for the night. Yujin keeps complaining about why they kept on serving the same food.

Can't blame her but I never complained. Since I met Minju, she's the one cooking the meal for us. Even if it's the same, it taste good, I guess.

We ate in silence. Looking up at the sky.

"Wow. It's beautiful" Wonyoung said, everyone agreed in hum.

It's true, the stars look beautiful against the dark sky. Now, I realized that it's been a while since I appreciate the sky.
