It was unusually hot for a summer night and The-Boy-Who-Lived could not survive the paperwork that was sitting right in front of him.

"Nobody told me this would be all paperwork!" He complained as another batch of paper flew in. All he was doing was monitoring little cases of underage magic, few unique cases he did get, he had to send them to active Aurors, which he was not.

He laid back in his chair, closing his tired eyes.  All he could see was endless darkness and faded stamps and signatures.

The clock on his desk went off and startled him, he almost fell off his chair. He reached and stopped the annoying clock that was given to him as a gift, a birthday gift. Now that very clock was reminding him it was a new day.

And it was. A new day, a new day of a new year. His twentieth birthday.

Harry Potter was twenty now, who could've imagined?! The boy who lived -and died- was twenty.

He laughed, the idea of it was simply too funny. He looked outside the window, at the beautiful night sky, smiling, while remembering everything, every hardship and every victory.

A few years back, he lived day to day. Scared and hopeless, he never thought he would make it to a day where he could just be peaceful. A day where he wasn't constantly reminded of what was waiting for him outside. A day where he could go out, have fun and not care about the maker of his famous lightening scar.

He was now just a person, a normal auror traniee that was getting his life sucked out by the endless amount of paperwork he had to fill and sign and stamp and repeat.

Though he complained a lot, he was actually very happy. The most he had been all of his life actually. He had a job he enjoyed, there were people who cared for him, who loved him. A home he could go at the end of the day and be safe and happy.

He reached to the picture frame on his desk and took it in his hands, smiling at the moving figures.

It was a picture from his wedding day, a year and a few weeks ago. He and Ginny got married right after she graduated. If it were up to him they wouldn't even wait that long but when he asked her she had kissed him and told him she wanted to go through school first.

In the photo she was standing in his right, in a wedding gown, not a very big and shiny one but rather a little beaten down. He offered to buy her a new dress but she insisted and said she wanted to wear her mothers.

And to his left him were Ron and Hermoine, hand in hand, smiling at him. And around them were all the remaining classmates, order members and other close friends and relatives of the Weasleys.

For a moment it pained him, thinking about everyone who couldn't be in that picture.
Fred, Mad Eye, Tonks, Remus, Sirius and.. And his parents.

Harry Potter was twenty now but he still couldn't get over the fact that his parents were dead.

James-Lily and Harry Potter, a family that could've been so happy, gone nineteen years ago. Oh how he wished he could remember everything from when they were alive. How his father reacted when he was born, how they fed him, how they smiled when he said his first word, how his mother singed to him while he was sleeping and so much more he wished he could remember.

The pain and grieve he felt in his heart was growing. A moment ago he was happy, thankful for the life he had but now, he was sad for the one that got away. He wanted nothing more than to see his friends right now and maybe even talk to them but they were all busy.

Ginny was at a quidditch camp, Ron and Hermoine were at a mission far away. Neville was at Hogwarts, studying Herbology with Sprout and Luna... Well, she was on a 'spritiual journey'

He pulled out parchments and wrote to each and every one of them. Reliving old memories while asking and wanting a reply of what was going on in their life right now. He got up from the uncomfortable chair and walked to the edge of the room where his ministry owl was sleeping.

"Sorry to wake you up little buddy but can you deliver these?" The owl had maken a face but when Harry gave him a few treats he was more than happy to do what he was told to.

Harry opened the window, let the owl fly in the night sky. It was a starry night and the black owl covered a few stars while he flew away. He didn't watch him leave, he had so much to do and if he didn't finish them he couldn't go home.

"Hey mate! Look outside the window!" Harry had recognized this voice, it was Ron's.

He rushed to the open window and looked down.

"Happy Birthday Harry!" All of his friends were there, they threw their wands in the sky and shot fireworks. He looked up to see a big '20' in red and gold.

He apparated down. Hugging everyone and of course kissing his wife.

"Happy birthday my love, have you missed me?" Ginny asked with a huge grin on her face. Harry kissed her again, whispered to her lips.

"You have no idea."
