I was tensed all day, not wanting to face the lesson in the afternoon. I did not want to collaborate with the weird and mysterious twins. Plus we had gone through such incident, and it did not help relax me around them. That just made me even more nervous.
But just like going to work, this could not be avoided and had to be done…
“Okay, good luck (Yn),” Katy gave me a wink after lunch before she left for her lesson – she would be helping the students with the dance, “Enjoy your lesson!” she smiled cheekily before turning on her heels.
Oh Katy. She knew how the twins were around me and she had to tease me. Like I was not nervous enough without her teasing. I was glad that I did not tell her about meeting them at the club.
I sighed, and tidied up my stuff for lesson. I noticed the twins organizing their own stuff too.
“You ready?” suddenly the oh-so-sexy voice which should not belong to a teacher rang above me. I looked up to see that the twins were ready.
“Err, yeah,” I quickly grabbed my stationary and turned to them.
“Let’s go,” and then I followed them towards our destination. We were given the hall as the venue.
I clutched my stuff close to my chest as I entered the classroom to face a hall full of people who had signed up for the drama. I heard that this session had the whole school signing up, and due to the large amount of people, more than half of the people who had signed up had to be cut off. From what Katy said, the girls wanted to get close to the two hot Mr. Grimes and the boys wanted to do this because of me. Well, that was ridiculous – but I guessed the girls’ part was true. Who would not want to get close to them?
I scanned the class as we made our way to the stage. The pupils were sitting in the audience, and the twins started to do the talking. Everyone looked excited, and the girls were all looking at the twins in awe. I caught a couple of senior boys winking at me too, which I completely ignored. I wondered if the twins had caught them winking at me. That would be embarrassing.
But well, I was already an embarrassment to them. This was no big deal. I sighed.
The twins were done explaining what the students would have to do, and they were starting to tell the story. I could see the students’ eyes light up when they heard that it was an action-packed love story.
“And today the three of us would demonstrate our version of the play to give you some general ideas. Of course three people won’t be enough for this play – there will be lots of people playing the roles of animals, the guards and so on, but you’ll get the brief impression of this whole thing out of this,” once Edward finished this part of the speech, everyone cheered and some even screamed excitedly.
The twins signaled to me and we all put our stuff aside, and I began to sweat despite how thin the material of my dress was - -I was just wearing a yellow sleeveless summer dress with flats. I had no idea what I should be doing and this idea of me not taking part in the preparation suddenly sounded like the worst thing I had ever heard of. Why did I even agree to that?
We all went to the back of the stage and John told me in a low voice as he hooked the microphone on for me – I had to suppress my shivers as his fingers brushed against my face briefly, “So I’ll be playing the evil king, and Edward will be the hunter,”
I nodded, and he continued, “We’ll start from the very first scene, and we’ll go out pretending to be arguing, then I’ll hit you and you’ll try to escape from me and run to the other side of the backstage. Go to Edward and he’ll tell you what to do next,”
I nodded again. My heart felt like it was going to jump out from my throat.
“Okay, ready?” John asked me, and I nodded. I could not bring myself to speak – I was so nervous. I was not scared of the performance itself but I was scared because I did not really know how the thing would go and I would have to act with THE twins.
John reached his hand behind me to turn on my microphone which had its box hooked on the back of my belt, and turned on his own which was on his back pocket. He flicked his hair once and pushed me out onto the stage. I saw Edward on the other side of the stage with two excited students that just got picked to help with the stage, hiding behind the curtains, watching. He had his eyes on me.
“I told you not to do that!” John yelled at me, storming towards me and came up close to my face – I could feel his hot breath on me… Oh my.
“What else can I do if you forbid me from doing everything,?” I tried my best to keep up with the argument, “I’m basically like being held in prison!”
“You. Are. Mine,” I thought I just had a heart attack hearing that although it was just for the play, “I can lock you up and do whatever I want with you.”
“I’m your wife! Not your slave!”
“You’re my wife and you have to do whatever I told you to!”
“No!”
Then John pretended to slap me across the face, and on cue, I fell to the floor after feeling his fingers caressing my face.
I held my face and screamed, “I hate you!” John was clearly enjoying himself, his eyes twinkling. WELL.
I scrambled to my feet, and sprinted for the other side of the stage, to where Edward was – he was enjoying the show as much as his twin, while I was still very nervous – but John quickly shot his arms out and wrapped them around me tightly, giving me another severe heart attack. I could not even move my arms, but I was glad – if he was not holding me this tightly, my knees would have given out on me already. I thought I was going to faint. The students were squealing.
“Let go of me!” I yelled, but John just tightened his arms around me and rested his chin on my shoulder.
“You’re going nowhere!” he said, “You’re mine!”
OH DEAR LORD.
“I really hate you!” I shouted again and struggled against his grasp. I caught Edward grinning at me.
John loosened his grip on me on purpose and I quickly took the chance to run towards Edward.
“You’re going nowhere; you’d better watch out!” John screamed after me, and stormed towards me.
“Okay now (Yn),” Edward said after turning off my microphone, and the two senior boys listened to us intently next to us – they were here to move the furniture around later. And they were eyeing me up but of course, I ignored them, and John was standing behind me now, “You’ll pretend to run around trying to escape from John, and then when I come out, run into me and I’ll lead you around. These two—” he turned to the two boys, “Okay, you two, go and put the table in the center.”
They went to do their job and Edward continued, “I’ll pull you down to hide under the table and all you have to do is follow my lead. Okay?”
I nodded – oh God (Yn), how come all you could do was to nod? You looked stupid. But really, I had sort of lost my ability to talk.
“Okay, now, run!” Edward whispered after turning on my mic again.
