Coincidence, Not?

I strode into the club in my favorite white studded tank top teamed with black mini skirt and stilettos. Very non-teacher-ish, I know, but I was not at school now, duh.
I scanned the crowded place which was filled with loud music, and found my friends at one of the tables. I was the last one to arrive.
“Hey (Yn)!” my three friends, Joan, Sandy and Yvonne said hello to me excitedly when they saw me. I realized I had missed them more than I should when I saw them – it had been a month since I last saw them, due to my new-job situation!
I hugged them each, and Yvonne squatted over to let me slip in.
Even though we had not seen one another for a month, we instantly started talking like we had not stopped talking before. They shot me questions about my new job, my life, and everything your best friends would be interested in.
“Are there any hot guys?” Sandy asked at one point, and everyone leaned in closer, obviously interested in my answer. I was about to laugh, remembering John and Edward Grimes, when someone – two people actually – caught my eyes. I immediately froze in my position.
Not far away at the bar table, perched on two barstools respectively, were those gorgeous blond angels who had just popped up in my mind two seconds ago. And what was more, they had their eyes on me… Just like how they were at school.
But the way they were dressed now were the complete opposite to how they looked at school. They usually had shirts and skinny ties together with low-profile hightops, sometimes even with blazers – yes, I had to admit that I paid more attention on them than I should. Now… They looked even hotter.
They still had regular shirts and ties on, but their blazers were studded ones – just like my top, I noticed – and they even had studded hightops on. A ridiculous thought of them looking at me while I got changed occur to me, causing air to hitch in my throat.
“What?” Joan waved her hands in front of my eyes, “Hello! Has some hot guy got your attention?”
“Err,” I quickly looked away and back at my friends around me, “I – yes – there are.”
“What’s wrong?” Sandy asked again, and as everyone knew me so well, they all had a look of suspicion on their faces.
Yvonne was looking around, apparently looking for the object that had taken my attention and sidetracked me a couple of moments ago. Then she finally squeaked, startling us.
“Look guys!” she turned back to us and said excitedly, her voice barely audible under the loud music, “Can you see those twins at the bar? They’re smoking hot!”
WHAT? Okay, my heart just did a somersault. They were now eyeing up my gorgeous colleagues, but they seemed to be oblivious to their gazes. They were just focusing on me, creepy or not.
“They’re looking at us!” Joan squealed, “Oh, imagine them hooking on us!”
“No,” I snapped before I knew what was happening, “They’re just looking at me. They’re my colleagues.”
The three of them turned to me with their mouth open. Huh, take that, they know me – wait, what was wrong with me? A familiar feeling started to float up in my stomach. That feeling reminded me of when I got jealous when my highschool crush got a girlfriend.
(Yn)… You could not be jealous, could you? You had barely talked to them! They were strangers to you if not for the fact that you worked at the same place!
Why were they here anyway? Were they stalking me? I was reminded of how they were listening closely when I told Katy that I was coming to this place.
“They – they’re your colleagues?” Sandy stuttered.
“Yes,” I nodded, trying to calm down. I did not know what had come over me – a mixture of confusion, jealousy and fury were overwhelming me.
Then a smile slowly broke across Yvonne’s face, “(Yn), why were you so pissed? Are you into them? That’s hot, they’re twins!”
“Shut up!” Yvonne’s playful attitude had got me back to normal, and I could not help but giggle. The tension was gone, and I tried not to shift my gaze to them again, in case they distracted me like always.
“(Yn), you’re not at school now; why not try to hook on them? They keep staring at you, you know! And seriously do you fancy them?” Joan suggested.
“No way!” I said, “And I don’t! They’re just curious and surprised, like me, probably.”
“Come on,” Sandy laughed, “Why not?”
I sighed, and I decided to tell them about their weird behavior, because I could tell there was no way to make them back off besides telling them about the whole thing.
“Seems they have a thing for you,” Yvonne said and I shook my head, and the three of them began to laugh.
“What’s so funny?” I asked.
“(Yn), since when will you realize how attractive you are?” Joan laughed, “You’re basically a guy magnet!”
“Shut up, like seriously!” I protested, but could not help and laughed with them. Really, so many people out there were way better than me. They were not even interested in Jane, how could they be interested in me?
“Okay, maybe you should ask them to join us,” Sandy wriggled her eyebrows, “If you don’t want them… Maybe two of us can get lucky!”
“No!”
“Come on – oh, looks like you’re a bit late (Yn),” Yvonne’s voice fell towards the end, and we all followed her gaze to look at the Grimes twins.
A group of people consisting four girls dressed in even more revealing clothes than me were now surrounding them, standing a bit closer than they needed to. That uneasy feeling was starting to surface again. WHY?
“Go on (Yn),” Sandy urged me, “Show them who they belong to! Go!”
“No!” I protested for the millionth time – no way would I be confronting them! I myself was not even sure if they liked me, for crying out loud!
“They’re obviously not interested in those girls and they are still looking at you distractedly! Come on, we’ll go with you!” Sandy dragged me out of the comfy couch and the other two followed suit.
“Oh my God Sandy! No!” I yelled, but they kept pushing me forwards, blocking my way back. I did not dare to look up as my face was flaming with redness embarrassingly, but finally the studded identical hightops came into view. I had no choice but to shift my gaze up.
