I got pulled into the unlit classroom and the person banged the door close. I had just steadied myself on my feet when I was forced to turn around to face the person in front of me.
Under the dim light coming from the gaps between the blinds, I could see a pair of burning eyes staring back intently into mine.
It was Ivan.
“What are you doing?” I asked, shocked.
“Hmm, Miss (your last name),” Ivan said in a soft voice, which sent shivers down my spine – it was somehow frightening, and he had a firm grasp on my shoulders, “Or should I call you (Yn)? So you’re not standing here as my teacher but just another girl who’s simply a few years older than me… Hot.”
“What are you doing, Ivan?” I asked again, trying to squirm free from his grab, but he just tightened his hold on me.
“Doing what I’ve been wanting to do since I first laid my eyes on you,” he breathed, “You want me too, don’t you? You were just scared of saying yes to me in front of the whole class.”
“No,” I said sternly. Even though he was much taller than me, I was still his teacher, and I was determined to set things straight, “You’re my student, and this can never happen.”
“You said when you’re (Yn), you’re not bearing the identity of a teacher,”
“But I am still your teacher, whether I am (Yn) or Miss (your last name), it’s just that I’m not on duty anymore, not doing my job, but I’ll still be your teacher,”
“Whatever,” he said, “I’ll still have you anyway. If not for those two Mr. Grimes that night, I’d have got you in the club anyway.”
So the twins did not just save me from embarrassing myself further that night; they also saved me from Ivan. This fact was making me dizzy.
“Ivan,” I said, my voice full of authority, “Now, let go of me and join your friends for lunch. I’m losing my patience now, and don’t try to test my limits.” I was actually getting a bit scared, but I could not lose my ground. I knew I could not fight off this strong boy if he decided to do something rash, and his eyes seemed to get wilder every second.
“You’re just so dang hot when you’re angry,” Ivan grinned, and slid his hands down my bare arms.
“Stop it now,” I hissed, “Let. Go. Of. Me.”
“No,” he said, and began to lean in closer. I tried to struggle out of his hands, but he just tightened his grasp and pushed me onto the floor.
He sat on me, and restrained my hands using his own on each side of my head. I was trapped!
“HELP!” I screamed, knowing that I had no way to stop Ivan using words now. His eyes were sparkling with excitement and I knew he was physically hooked, and could not stop at anything.
“STOP SCREAMING!” he hissed and gagged me swiftly with a towel which he took out from his back pocket.
Now the only to call for help was gone. I was doomed. Tears began to spill from my eyes.
“Ha! Now you can’t say no,” he leaned down to kiss my neck and I just squirmed helplessly under his weight. I closed my eyes, letting my tears fall freely, and accepted my fate.
But all of a sudden, his weight was removed following a loud bang from the door. The door closed as quickly as it was opened, and I fluttered my eyes open.
I quickly sat up from the floor and wiped my tears away to get a better view of the situation.
In front of me were three people – Ivan, of course, and John and Edward. They were trying to hold the struggling Ivan back, and Edward quickly came to my side once Ivan was under John’s control. He was bent over a desk with John holding him in position.
“Let go of me!” Ivan was shouting, trying to pull free from John. Edward ungagged me and ran back to Ivan to use the towel on him, gagging him.
“If I were you, I’d move further away now,” John regarded me coldly, and I flinched. What was going on? But I listened and quickly shifted backwards on the floor, away from the three of them.
John threw Ivan onto the floor, and Edward kicked his stomach.
“Hey—” no matter what he had done, they should not hurt him physically!
But Edward turned slightly around to throw me a cold stare, telling me to shut up. I sucked in some air, terrified, and it effectively silenced me.
Who were they? These twins were not the people that I knew. They were so cold and scary.
And so, they began to beat Ivan up. They were being so violent that I could not see anymore. I had to hide in a corner and shielded my sight. All I could hear was Ivan’s sniffled and gagged moans of agony, and the noises of their punches and kicks.
After what seemed like a lifetime, the sounds stopped. I removed my hands slightly to see a battered up Ivan on the floor, his nose and mouth bleeding. The twins were looking at him with furious eyes.
“Now run away and never ever get near us and (Yn),” John said to him, threat filled his voice, and it gave me goose bumps, scaring me, “Do not tell anyone about this, or you can kiss your future goodbye. We can make sure you stay in jail for the rest of your life.”
Edward bent down to whip the gag away from Ivan, and threw the towel at him. Ivan quickly took hold of it and bolted out of the room.
John went forward to close the door, and he and Edward turned to me, who was shaking in the corner.
My heart stopped. What were they going to do with me? They were no longer the John and Edward I used to know; no matter how dark and mysterious they used to look to me, they never appeared to be frightening and terrifying to me. But at this very moment, I was scared of them, and I wanted to get away from them as far as possible. For the first time ever.
They began to come closer to me, and I quickly squeaked in panic, “No!”
They stopped right in their tracks, and studied me cautiously.
“We are not going to hurt you,” Edward said slowly. Their eyes were now warmer than moments ago; they were no longer burning, madden stares, but back to the usual calm pools of green.
I relaxed a little knowing that they had no intention of hurting me – he sounded so honest that I knew he was not lying – but was still shaking.
“Come,” John extended a hand towards me, “It’s alright now. No one can hurt you.”
I hesitated, and looked from him to his twin. They seemed like their old calm selves. But I was still terrified.
“Come on,” John repeated, and slowly came towards me. I froze, but did not move away.
He knelt down in front of me and stared into my eyes. I bet I looked as pale as a piece of paper now, even though he was so close to me. If not for the tensed situation, I would be blushing.
He looked down and put his hands on top of mine which were resting on my folded up knees, but I cringed and jerked my hands away.
John held my gaze for a brief second and slowly enfolded me in his arms instead. I yanked back at first, but the moment that his arms were around me, I suddenly felt safe and relaxed completely.
“Everything’s okay,” John whispered softly, and his scent was filling my nostrils – a soothing, sweet scent, I must say, even though the image of him and his twin beating everything out of Ivan was still clouding my mind.
He finally pulled back after I heaved a sigh, “Come,” he said again, and helped me stand up. He brought me to Edward, and Edward wrapped an arm around my shoulder protectively. We followed John’s lead out of the dark classroom.
