Malcolm's POV
I slowly woke up from my sleep as I felt someone tapping my shoulder. I groaned and stirred from my sleep before facing the opposite direction.
"Hyung...you have to wake up!" I heard Jeongin say as he continued tapping my shoulder.
"I will...in five minutes" I said weakly.
"Fine, hyung. You left me no choice" He said as I felt weight crush me.
"J-Jeongin! Get off!" I said as I was starting to wake up.
"Get up first!" He chuckled.
"H-How will I if you're crushing me!?" I said as I tried getting him off.
"Oh...right. My bad" He smiled as he got off.
Aigo...this maknae could really get annoying sometimes
I sat up and he walked off towards the bathroom. The door unlocked and Hyunjin stepped out. Jeongin went in and started to do his business.
Hyunjin started preparing the things he needs for class and noticed I was zoning out.
"Malcolm-ah, you're zoning out" He smiled as he waved his hand infront of my face.
I snapped out of the trance and looked at him.
"Oh, sorry" I chuckled and he just nodded.
"You should prepare soon so we can still have breakfast with the others downstairs" He said as he took out his uniform from the closet.
I nodded and got off my bunk bed. Thankfully, Jeongin finished just in time for me to do my routine.
After that, we went down and met up with the others. It was the lobby for the dormitory and the students who lives in it always hung out in here. It's the common place for all of us. We also eat here as it was like a small cafeteria with some tables at the sides.
We got out the elevator and was met with the usual group. Chaewon waved at us and others turned their heads to our direction as well.
"What took you guys so long?" Han asked as he scooched over to make space in the couch for us to sit on.
"I'll get us the coffee" Hyunjin said and I nodded and thanked him.
Jeongin and I sat down with them and joined their conversation.
"We were just talking about the new girl that will transfer here" Chaeyeon said and I nodded.
Hyunjin came back with a tray full of coffee and some bread. I helped him place it down on the coffee table.
"Thank you, Hyung" Jeongin smiled as he took a bite of bread.
"Thanks, Hyunjin" I said as I drank my coffee.
"Mr. Hwang" I heard the principal call.
We all looked at the direction and I excused myself and went to him.
"Good morning, Sir" I greeted and bowed.
"Goodmorning, Malcolm. I just need you to introduce the dormitory rules to these new students" He explained and I nodded as we walked to his office.
We walked into his office and I saw two new students. I sat next to them and the principal introduced me as the person in charge of the dormitory.
"You can come to him if you have any concerns or questions when it comes to your dorms" The principal said and I nodded.
I looked at both of the girls and the one sitting on the right caught my eye. She looked familiar but I was sure I've never seen her in my life before.
"Mr. Hwang, please lead them to their respective rooms" The principal said and I nodded before all three of us left the room.
I guided both of them and showed them around the building for a bit. The other girl was quite talkative and the other one that I felt familiar with was just quiet.
The quiet girl stayed in Chaewon and Chaeyeon's room and the other girl stayed in another room.
I was waiting on the elevator until I heard footsteps coming towards me. I looked back and saw that it was the guy that transferred here a month ago.
"Malcolm-hyung!" He called as jogged towards me and panted as he stopped infront of me.
"What is it, Chenle?" I asked and looked at him curiously.
"You okay?" I asked again and he nodded and put up his index finger.
I nodded and waited for him to catch his breath.
"I've been looking for you everywhere! I got locked out of my dorm" He said as he took heavy breaths.
"Eh? Why?" I asked.
"Jisung" He replied.
"Jisung? What about him?" I looked at him confused.
"He left the key in the room when we got out" He explained and I sighed in disappointment.
"Sorry, hyung...he's clumsy" Chenle said and I nodded.
"It's okay. Let's go to your room" I said and we both went to their dorm.
We got to their dorm and it was really locked. I asked where Jisung was and Chenle said he already went to class. I nodded and fished out the master key in my pocket.
"You see this? This is the master key" I said showing him the keys.
"Can you open it now, hyung?" Chenle asked and I hummed.
"Hold on, you have two choices" I said and he looked at me curiously.
"The first choice is me opening the door but...as dorm rules, if you lock yourself out and I let you in with the master key, you get twenty demerits. You know that right?" I asked he nodded.
"What's the other choice, hyung?" He asked as he didn't want to get demerits.
"The second choice will be me having to pick the lock so that door will open" I said before leaning close to him.
"You get no demerits and no one will ever find out about it this. But there's a small fee" I whispered.
"Ahh...fine. I'm in a hurry hyung so please pick it for me. How much is the fee?" He asked.
I opened my phone and showed him the list of my emergency services.
"10,000 won" I replied.
"Yah! That's too expensive, hyung. Can't I get a discount?" He pleaded.
"Okay, then" I nodded.
"Since it's your first time, I'll give you half the price. It'll be 5,000 won" I said.
He took out his wallet and took out the money and payed me. I thanked him for the business and he thanked me for opening it. He went in his room and I headed back.
I closed his door and was met with the janitor leaning on the wall. I fliched a bit as I got surprised.
Janitor scared me...What's with him?
"You do know that the resident advisor shouldn't be extorting money from the students living in the dorm, right?" He asked unamused.
"Does the principal know?" He asked.
"I didn't extort them. He asked me to do it" I defended.
"But having a list of prices for your services-" He said but I cut him off.
"Here...use this" I said as I handed him the 1,000 won from the money I got.
"Buy yourself an energy drink later, sir" I smiled.
"Sir? Oh please, just call me hyung" The janitor smiled back as he took the money.
"I don't think we're that close. The floors were wet by the showers so it looks like you've been slacking off, sir" I said before walking away and passing by him.
"Yes" He said.
"I've been working for 20 years and I've never met anyone like you before" He said.
