Malcolm's POV
"I said no!" Hyunjin shouted.
"Order spicy monkfish and spicy seafood!" Chaeyeon shouted back as they were having a tug of war at Jeongin's phone.
"I'm not in the mood for spicy foods! Why are you so selfish?" Hyunjin asked.
"Yah! Let's just eat something already. I haven't eaten all day" Changbin whined.
"Wait...Hyung is getting paid today and buying dinner, right?" Jeongin asked.
"That's right! Let's talk him into buying us all dinner tonight" Chaeyeon suggested and we all hummed in agreement.
"So, guys, what should we get?" Jeongin asked.
"Hmm...since we all want different things, how about a buffet?" Chaewon proposed.
"Oh! I heard the new one by the main entrance is good" Chaeyeon said.
"Oh c'mon, a buffet..." We all groaned.
"Guys, this is terrible!" Minju said as she stopped running.
"North Korea shot a missile. Did you see the news?" She asked in a panicked tone and we all looked at her.
Hyunjin took the remote from the table and turned on the T.V. We were met with the news talking about a missile from North Korea that was spotted this morning. We all resumed doing what we were doing as we were all unbothered.
"See that? They're gonna start a war with us. And they'll set South Korea on fire!" Minju panicked.
"Yah! Stop freaking out. There isn't a war today" I told her.
"They do that all the time. Nuclear weapon research" Hyunjin snickered.
"Speaking of North Korea, I'm craving some Pyongyang naengmyeon" Changbin said out of nowhere.
"What do you mean?" Chaeyeon asked.
"Hamhung naengmyeon is the best. If you wrap it around galbi..." Jeongin smiled.
"How can you say that? Do you understand that a war is about to break out?" Minju interjected.
"Woah! They're saying We Got Married will come back this year" Chaewon said as she looked at her phone in disbelief before holding it out for us to see.
"What? Let me see" Hyunjin said as well all went and took a closer look at her phone.
"I knew it" Changbin said as we read the article.
"There's no time for this now! North Korea will shoot a missile and set South Korea on fire!" Minju said but we didn't listen as we were too occupied.
-Time Skip-
I went down to the basement storage room as I was obliged to put some books away.
Where is he? It's so hard to find reliable help these days
I thought as I opened the lights in the room.
"Damn it! It's gonna take forever to put these books away" I groaned as I saw the stacks of books on the floor.
"Where is he? I texted him almost ten minutes ago" I muttered as I checked my phone to see any new messages.
Just in time, Han came in as he stopped sprinting and stood infront of me.
"I'm not late!" He said as he panted.
"You're two seconds late. You must not want me to remove some of your demerits" I scoffed.
"You're milking this way too much. What is it this time anyways?" He sighs.
"I don't have alot of time. Let's get moving" I said as I walked towards the books on the floor.
Suddenly, Minju came barging in and closed the metal doors behind her as she accidentally kicked away the door stop.
"Guys! A war broke out! Do you hear that sound?!" She asked in a panicked tone as we looked at her.
"What? Does she think a war broke out because of the sirens?" I asked as I looked at Han.
"Hey, hey, hey, calm down" Han said as he motioned his hands towards her as I chuckled at girl.
"I can't believe a war broke out while I'm in Korea" Minju said as she quickly took her phone from her pocket.
The siren blared again as we could barely hear it at the basement.
"Why won't my phone work?" Minju asked as she looked confused.
"Minju-yah, a war did not break out" I said.
"The civil defense training is today. They're just training" I explained.
"Civil defense?" She asked, looking dumbfounded.
"It's a periodic evacuation dill. Hear that? The siren just stopped" Han said as the noise stopped
"It...It's uh...not really a war?" She asked.
"Talk about overreacting. Why won't my phone work?" I mocked as Minju looked embarassed.
"Go ahead and take those piled of books and boxes, and move them over there" I ordered Han and he started lifting some.
"This will take us forever" Han complained.
"What do you mean "us"? I'm here to tell you what needs to be done. You're the one that's going to be doing it, so get going" I jested.
"Yah! You're so mean!" He said.
"Uh...guys, why won't this open?" Minju asked as she tried opening the doors.
"What?" Both Han and I asked.
We went towards the door and starting pushing and opening the door but to no avail.
"Why won't it open?" I groaned as I pushed.
"It won't budge" Han complained.
"It's completely slammed shut" Han said as he stopped pushing.
"I uh...I thought it was a war, so I uh- slammed it shut" Minju said in a low voice.
"I'll call someone to get us out of here" I said as I took out my phone before dialing Hyunjin.
"What? Why won't it work?" I asked as there was no signal.
"I don't have reception here" I said as I moved from my spot to see any bars in my phone.
"Come on, guys. You can get reception anywhere" Han said as he raised his phone to look for signal as well.
"Except here" He said as there was no signal as well.
"Wait...That means we're locked in" I said.
"No way" Minju said.
"No way?" I glared as I walked towards her but calmed down when I was infront of her
"The door won't open. We can't get reception and tomorrow's a saturday, so no one is working which means no one will come here to let us out, but..." I rambled out of frustration before groaning and walking away from her.
"Damn it" I muttered as I lightly kicked a small rock on the ground before sitting down on the floor.
I can't believe I'm stuck here
