Minju's POV
"Let's say that Tzuyu's name became a forbidden word to us. We couldn't say her name since it might make everything be in chaos again" He explained.
"We lost Tzuyu...three years ago in an accident" He sighed.
"It was her birthday and Malcolm planned for both of them to go to Nami island together without any of us knowing. It was raining hard that night and he messaged us to let us know so that we wouldn't worry"
"It was supposed to be his gift for Tzuyu but none of us expected what happened when the police called his parents. We were all shocked to hear the news when his parents told us what happened that night" He took a deep breath and I listened eagerly.
"The bus crashed against a car and rolled over. Many died and one of them were Tzuyu. Malcolm survived miraculously but couldn't remember everything" He said in a weak tone and I felt super bad.
"I-uh...I'm so sorry for bringing her up" I apologized and he looked at me with a sad smile.
"It's okay. I think I needed it too so I could move on from what happened" He said.
"So, Malcolm had amnesia?" I asked.
"Yes, he had selective amnesia. He couldn't remember the event but could remember things prior to the event" He explained.
"He kept looking for her until the doctor said that Tzuyu was gone. After that, Malcolm started getting nightmare after nightmare because of what happened and hardly spoke to us. It was as if we lost a friend. It made his parents decide to get him therapy to forget everything that happened completely, to forget everything about Tzuyu completely" He added.
"It was hard but it was the only way. It was like Malcolm lost a big chunk if himself. But it had to be done so we could get him back" He explained.
"And when he talked about the dreams he was having lately. He dreamt about those events so he decided to go there himself to find answers. That accident triggered his memories which made him remember everything" He finished.
"So, please, Minju. I hope you understand what he's going through right now. There's too much to process. Let's just give him some space and time. I'm sure he'll come back to us once he's ready" He gave a reassuring smile.
"What's your plan now, Minguri?" Chaeyeon asked.
"As Hyunjin said, I'll just give him some time" I replied which made Hyunjin nod.

I was now laying down on my bed and was about to sleep but couldn't as questions and thoughts filled my mind from the revelation that Hyunjin said to me earlier.
I didn't know he had so much past...He didn't even know he had them
I sighed and took out my phone. I went to our convo and started typing.
