Malcolm's POV
I was wiping the table after the couple that sat finished their meal and left. We were in the buffet-like restaurant that I worked at as a part-time job.
*CRASH*
I flinched as I heard glass shatter. I heard a few gasps from the people inside and turned around to see Minju bowing to the crowd.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" She apologized before crouching down and picking up the shattered glass on the floor.
The manager went to my side and sighed as he looked disappointed at her.
"Where did you find this klutz? We're already busy" He said and I looked at him sadly.
"I'm sorry, she won't do this again" I said and bowed at him.
I took a towel from the counter and joined in to help her. I wiped the shards into one place and I looked at her as she picked other pieces up. I thought she'd protest and quit but...she's working very hard.

It was our breaktime and fortunately, the manager allows us to eat the food from the buffet so we wouldn't need to bring nor buy food. I picked out the meal I usually take, which were meat and most of the expensive food in the menu.
I took a spoonful of food as Minju sat across from me. I noticed that she only took little of food and decided to bring it up.
"Is that all you're going to eat?" I asked and she nodded.
"You should eat the expensive stuff first at the buffet. Like meat. Is this your first time in a buffet?" I asked with a curious face.
"I don't feel well" She replied.
"You should eat as much as you can when you can. You still have two more jobs today" I pointed out.
"T-This isn't the last one?" She asked with a shocked face and I hummed.
"This isn't enough to pay for my phone, even if you work at weekends" I said.
"Do all kids in Korea live like this?" She asked.
"Yes, everyone except kids who are very rich" I replied as I chewed on my food.
"You've never done this kind of work before have you?" I asked with suspicious face.
"No" She gave a faint smile as she shook her head and I hummed.
"You might work all night so you should eat as much as you can" I said.
"O-Okay" She replied.
Minju's POV
I accidentally dropped my spoon so I went down to pick it up. I came back up and frowned as I noticed the bandaid at Malcolm's forearm.
"Aren't you tired?" I asked.
"You're the RA and you work on the weekends" I added which made him take a deep breath and sigh.
"This is nothing new for me. Don't you pity me? So if you don't pay for my phone, I'll never forgive you. Eat already" He replied before taking another spoonful of food.

We were in a Korean Bbq restaurant now and it was less spacious than the buffet earlier.
"Excuse me!" I heard a male voice call which made me stop pouring the scallion on the plate.
"Yes?" I asked.
"More scallions here please" He replied and I nodded before making my way towards their table.
I was walking towards them until a person shot up from his seat and bumped against me which made the bowl of scallions on my hands fall onto the person sitting beside me.
I looked at the sight, wide eyed, as I panicked and pulled out a towel from my apron and quickly wiped the person's face.
"Yah! What are you doing?" He asked in annoyance.
I stopped and moved backwards but the towel accidentally pushed some of the food on the grill. A strong smoke started coming out so I tried fanning it with the towel as I coughed from the smoke. I stopped what I was doing as the smoke started getting weak.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" I bowed as I apologized quickly at the person.
"Stop apologizing!" The guy said as he stood from his seat and left.
Malcolm's POV
I watched Minju as she looked lost looking for the customer she was going to give the bill to.
"Where's my soju!?" A person asked and she looked at him dumbfounded.
She was looking around for the person until one of our co-workers gave her the soju bottle and pointed at the customer that was asking for it.
She looked like she was having a hard time as she cleaned the table. I felt bad and sighed as I watched her.
Is this too much for her?
She looks like she never done physical labor before
Maybe this is too hard for her
What if she's sick?
Aish...why would you care anyways?
You should only think for yourself
Only for yourself
"Hey!" I called out as she passed by me which made her stop from her tracks.
"Where are you going?" I asked and she looked at me.
"I was just going to the employee room to rest" She replied.
"There's no time for that. They're calling you! Get going!" I said as the customers started calling for staff.
"Get going. They're calling you!" I said as I nudged her to them.

We finally finished for today and I said goodbye to the manager. She followed me as we went out and I held my hand out at her.
She gave me the money she got and I thanked her for it.
"Well, this is a start. You did good today" I said as I put the money in my bag and smiled at her.
"Y-You did good, too" She said as she gave me faint smile.
"How will you survive in this world? Your face shows your emotions" I chuckled.
"We should go. There's a cab" She said as she looked at the road and was about to walk away before I grabbed her arm and stopped her.
"Don't you get it? Do you want to waste your hard-earned money on a cab?" I asked and pointed at the taxi.
"You still owe me money" I said as I looked at her.
"O-Okay, let's get back to the dorm" She said weakly and started walking.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked as I noticed how she weakly walked.
"Hey, are you okay?" I asked as I grabbed her arm as she slowly collapsed on the floor.
"Yah! Minju-ya! Wake up!" I called out as I shook her.
Please! Minju! Wake up!
