Sano Manjiro, known as Mikey or the invincible Mikey who is the leader of the Tokyo Manji Gang, known as Toman. We all know how childish he can be at times but you're going to witness the most childish sight of him when he's with y/n, his girlfriend.

Been in a relationship for a year and the 2 have been childhood sweethearts since they were 5.

What else could they ask for?

Mikey woke up from his nap, wanting to see
y/n right away. He couldn't get enough of your kisses from last week and he misses you already. Draken came into his room only to find him already showered, he just needed to do his hair.

"You're that excited to see her, huh? Don't you think you're forgetting something?" Draken pulled mikey's collar back as he was about to launch himself out of the house.

"What?"

"It's a school day."

"Hey, let me go ken-chin! It's not like we always go to school!" Mikey fumbled around trying to escape from draken's grasp.

"Do you think y/n will be happy if she finds out that you skipped school because you wanted to see her? Plus, didn't she say last week about something important?" Draken rubbed his nape, trying to reminisce the last day the duo met you. "I forgot too, she hasn't texted or answered my call at all! Do you think she's kidnapped by some other gangs or something?" Mikey frowned, taking out his phone in the process.

"I think she's fine. Let's just go and see her after school."

Finally, school has ended. Mikey literally bolted out of class and was about to leave draken with his motorcycle, that's how excited he is to see you.

"Mikey, hold on!" The taller boy grunted as he started the engine of his motorcycle.

"Let's go and see my beloved y/n!"

The hospital smelled like hand sanitiser and the 2 blonde boys were already used to it due to the frequent times of visiting her. One of the nurses even greeted them as she cooed on how sweet of a boyfriend mikey has been but that didn't fool draken on how nervous the nurse was acting.

They finally arrived at the front of y/n's room, quietly, mikey slid the door open and was about to hug her but the room was empty.

"Eh?" The 2 said in unison.

"Are you both searching for miss y/n?" A nurse with brown hair interrupted since she saw the 2 boys gawking inside the room. They immediately nodded and she told them to follow her. They trailed behind quietly, not sure on what's going on.

"You may look from outside of the glass window, miss y/n's condition has worsened. That's why she's been moved to the ICU."

Those sentence struck mikey like a lightning bolt. He didn't know what to say, nor how to react.

"Thank you, maam." Draken bowed and she left the room.

It was silence, silence filled the air. All mikey could do was stare at you from the outside, oh how longing he was to hold you in his arms again. What happened? You were fine last week, how could your condition worsened?

The door creaked open, revealing y/n's mother.

"L/n-san, what happened?"

Your mother was shocked to see the 2 boys in front of her. She almost bursted into tears seeing mikey who looked so lost. The boy who took care of her daughter, the boy who promised to protect her daughter at all cost. She felt so guilty.

"Apparently, the doctors said that her cancer has moved up to stage 4 and there's no cure for it. The only way we could hope is for her antibodies to fight back." Her mother replied, she couldn't look at them in the eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me this earlier, l/n-san? Why didn't you-" Mikey's voice cracked, he balled his fist tightly.

"Y/n didn't want you to see her in this state, and i had to follow. She said if this is her last time, she would like to make 2 wishes-"

"Please, don't say that! My y/n is going to survive this damn cancer and-"

The sound of the flat line was heard from inside of the icu room. Everyone froze in their spots as y/n's mother ran to call a doctor.

Mikey wanted to barge inside the room and beg to y/n, don't leave him just yet but draken held him back as they witness the doctor and nurses rushing inside. The 3 of them watched the scene unfold in chaos, there were yelling and the sound of machines everywhere.

Mikey could feel a tear slide down his cheek, he's crying.

More than 3 minutes of trying to get her heart to beat again, they failed. The flat line continued to stay flat, until the doctor pronounced that

f/n l/n is dead.

Her mother fell to the ground, in the embrace of the nurse who was crying too. Y/n's been fighting with cancer for almost 3 years now, you were like a little sister to all the nurses. They couldn't keep their promises,

"One day when i heal, let's all go on a vacation together, nee-san!"

Those words repeated in their minds over and over again.

Shaking, y/n's mother stood up and grabbed her bag, taking out an envelope from it. She walked closer towards mikey and gave it to him.

"This was her last wish."

Draken had left and here was mikey, all alone at the lake. He kept on staring at the envelope, there was nothing he could feel anymore except for the numbness of the love of his life leaving him.

He mustered all of his courage and ripped open the envelope. A white letter was inside which he took it out and opened it.

Dear Mikey,

I hope this letter finds you well, and you're probably alone right now, aren't you? By the time you're reading this, I'm most probably no longer living. However, i did saw this coming as soon as the doctors told me that my condition is worsening. I knew i couldn't make it even if i wished everyday that i could.

For the past years knowing you, I've never thought we would be together. You're one hell of a boyfriend to love but i would still cherish you, even from up there. Thank you for all the things you've done for me, mikey.

I love you too much for me to say, if i could rewind the past, i'd do it all over again. I've failed to live that future that I've hoped for , the future where we would be married and have kids of our own. Supposedly, in our next life, let's accomplish that future, okay? Even if i have to meet and get to know you all over again. Truthfully, I didn't want you to see me in such a painful state, that's why i told you not to visit me for a few day. Do live on without me, live your life to the fullest for me.

I love you, mikey. You've taught me so much, i wish I could've stayed longer.

If only we had 5 more minutes.
