Yuzuha always had you worried. Especially living in such a household with an asshole of an older brother, it made you anxious for the times she wouldn't pick up your calls or reply to your messages.
The first time you met yuzuha, she was covered in bruises and blood stains from her nose. Apparently , mitsuya had introduced you to her as he thought you could use another friend to keep company whenever he wasn't around. You were more than happy to get a new friend, a girl, moreover. Yuzuha was a bit skeptical of you at first but she eventually opens up to you and you were the first person that she told about her biggest secret.
Which is yuzuha, protecting hakkai from taiju.
You were livid, angry and was raging to hit that asshole with a metal pipe. She also told you about the black dragons and as time passes by, you had caught feelings for the girl. She was also no longer secretive and showed the caring, bubbly side of her which you adore so much.
After weeks of mustering all your courage and practicing a few lines, you asked yuzuha out and to be your lover with the help of emma and hina. Mitsuya helped you with the gift preparations while luna and mana were quick to support you as cute cheerleaders. After all, they were excited to have you both together.
You asked her out on her birthday, which she spent half of the day with hakkai and half of the day with you.
Fun fact, yuzuha cried when you asked her out. She was so excited and accidentally kissed your cheeks from her overflowing happiness. That didn't stop you from smothering her with kisses and pecks all around her face except her lips, maybe it was too soon.
Unfortunately, you both had to try your best to keep your relationship away from taiju. After all, who knows what will happen if he finds out? _________________________
Y/N's POV
Today was no exception from a normal day but the only thing that was worrying me was that yuzuha hasn't been texting be back since this morning. It has been some sort of ritual for her to greet me a 'good morning, love♡' message but this time, she missed.
"I shouldn't think about it too much. Maybe, she's busy? But she can't be that busy right? Hakkai was completely active in the toman group chat though.." I ruffled my hair and tossed my phone on the pillow.
Nothing felt right. I felt completely off, something in my guts are telling me that yuzuha is in danger.
"Is this a lover instinct?!" I gasped and dialled for her number.
A voicemail comes in.
"Fuck my life."
I grabbed my oversized hoodie in a hurry and left the house to the shiba residence. __________________________
Quietly, i tried to sneak behind the fence and climbed up the tree since it was directly to yuzuha's window. This wasn't the first time I've done this, hell I've sneaked in multiple times.
Just as i stabled myself on a strong branch, i heard muffled shouts and things falling over.
It was taiju, and he was slapping yuzuha across the face with a crazy smile. Her room was a mess and hakkai was nowhere to be seen.
"You think I wouldn't know about your relationship with that toman girl? Tell me, yuzuha!" He grabs a fistful of her hair and throws her to the wall. I wanted to barge in and kick that motherfucker's ass but then I remembered mitsuya's words.
"Don't cause a fight with taiju. It could lead bad things with toman going against the black dragons."
Shit. What am I supposed to do? I can't just hide up here and watch yuzuha getting beaten up like that.
"Remember, I'm doing this because i love you, yuzuha. I'm a good older brother." He looks at her once more and left the room, slamming the door in the process.
I waited for a solid 3 minutes to make sure that he was completely gone. Soon enough, i saw the gate of the house opening and taiju left the residence. The coast is clear, now's the time. I carefully knocked on the window, being quiet not to startle her too much. Yuzuha opens the window with a guilty smile,
"What are you doing here at this hour, dummy? It's almost 10 PM." She was struggling to stand still. I got myself inside her room and embraced her.
"I'm so sorry." I mumbled, caressing her hair and kissed the crown of her head. My shoulder was starting to get wet from her tears as yuzuha cries in my arms.
"He found out about us and got mad."
I clenched my fist in anger. That's the last straw. Slowly, i seated yuzuha on her bed and grabbed a random bag before stuffing her clothes and other necessities in the bag.
"Y/n, what are you doing?"
I looked at her with a smile,
"You're staying with me for a while. Don't worry, i'll tell my parents later on and mitsuya will take care of this asshole. I'll keep you safe."
She stared at me with tears. If it's for yuzuha, then i'll gladly sacrifice everything that i have for her happiness. I slung the bag around her body, making sure I didn't press on her wounds. I kneeled down, my back facing her
"Get on my back, i'm carrying you."
She stifles a soft giggle and got on my back. ______________________________
As soon as we reached home, i treated her wounds and bruises using the first aid kit in the house. We were all cuddle up, keeping each other warm under the blankets while watching yuzuha's favourite movie. I also prepared her favourite snacks and drinks for comfort.
Yuzuha would always be the little spoon during our cuddle sessions. Perhaps, she wants to be babied since she's always been the older sister figure to hakkai.
My arms were securely wrapped around her waist, circling the palm of her hands as a habit.
"This is nice, isn't it? I hope this can get you off your mind from what happened just now."
Yuzuha hums and leans over to press a kiss on the corner of my lips,
"It is."
"And if you're worried about hakkai, he's staying at mitsuya's house for a while too. I'm sorry if you're uncomfortable on staying here or anything." She turns around to face me, a soft smile stretched on her face. Oh, if she could only know how beautiful she is whenever she smiles.
"I'm content like this." She snuggles into my chest.
"After all, my home is wherever you are, y/n."
Her words made my heart beat so fast, it's not fair. I cupped her face with both hands and leaned my forehead against hers,
"Well if that's the case, then your home is always open and don't you ever forget that." _____________________________
