You were more than nervous, the palm of your hands began to sweat out of fear and your fingers wouldn't stop trembling. For the past few minutes, you noticed that a man around his 40s was following you close from behind although he tried not to make it obvious. You tried to lose him a few times by turning to a few sharp corners and slip in the middle of some cars but he kept on tailing you.
The streets were almost empty, usually it would be packed by other students who were returning home but somehow, there was not even one student visible near you.
Your heart started beating fast while you tried to find someone around. And luckily, as you turned around the alleyway, you spotted a guy with long hair that was styled into pigtail braids just leaning on his motorcycle.Your immediate reaction was to run up and carefully hold his arm.
He looks at you with a raised eyebrow,
"Um, what are you-"
"Please pretend to be my boyfriend for a while, there's a guy who wouldn't stop following me for the past 20 minutes." You whispered in a hurry, glancing a few times for the guy to see if he saw you.
The long haired guy took the hint and brought you closer to his chest. He leans close to your ear and mutters,
"I got you." He winked and looks away.
A few seconds later, you heard the sound of footsteps approaching your way. His grip tightened around your shoulders, shielding your head away with another arm.
"The hell you staring at, old man?"
You couldn't see the guy but the atmosphere definitely changed. This guy that was holding you in his arms, he had a different aura.
"You know that girl?" You peeked slightly to see the guy pointing at your figure with an irritated smile.
"Who do you think you are, pointing at my girl like that?" He smiles eerily, shifting his position to stand up straight.
"Tch, girlfriend? She doesn't even look familiar with you, just hand the girl over and we'll go our separate ways." The guy steps a foot closer, hands extending out to reach for you.
"Man, you never listen." He chuckles and took something out of his motorcycle in a flash. It was a huge metal pipe with stains of blood on the edge. Your eyes widened from the foreign object, who is this guy? He swings the pipe forward, nearly hitting the other guy's hand harshly.
"I'm only saying this once so listen well, yeah? You're gonna leave my girl alone, walk away from here and never step foot near her ever, again. If you do, I'm gonna kill you with this pipe here and if you survive, i'll make sure you crawl out of here with all of your damn bones broken and clothes stained with your own blood. How does that sound, old man?"
You were tongue tied from his threat, something inside of you tells that he was not bluffing nor joking around. The serious look on his face was enough to convince you.
"The f-fuck? Geez, fine..." The old man's face was pale, almost looked like he saw a ghost.
He slowly walks away and disappeared from our sight.
You were finally able to breath properly, closing your eyes in relief. Unfortunately, you didn't realise that the long haired guy was staring at you from above since he's a tall, lanky guy.
"Who the hell is that in your arms?"
Another guy with blonde hair with light blue streaks who had glasses on stared at us with a can of drink in his hand.
"You were taking forever and missed the whole show, rindo. Am i right, pretty girl?" He grins, leaning closed to your face.
You backed away and stumbled out of his grip before bowing to show your gratitude.
"Thank you so much for helping me, I'm sorry if it made you uncomfortable.."
He lets out a small laugh before putting away the metal pipe.
"You're interesting, what's your name? My name is ran and that's my younger brother, rindo." He points to the guy with glasses who was still staring at us with an unamused expression.
"Come on now, what is this? Kindergarten? Introducing and getting to know ourselves?" Rindo scoffed and got on his motorcycle to start the engine. "You're no fun, brother. Going so soon when we have a pretty girl to keep us company?" He teased while twirling one of his braids around his slender fingers.
Company?
You frowned from his statement. Why would you stay with them? They don't look completely safe at all, perhaps their delinquents, just like your cousin, baji.
"I'm gonna go now-"
"Who says you can go? You haven't told me your name yet, don't you think I deserve to know after going through all of that to stray that creep away?" Ran walks closer and lifts up your chin to look into your eyes.
Fucking tease.
"Well if i knew you weren't genuine to help, I would've asked someone else or maybe just beat his ass myself." You mumbled in annoyance, pushing him away.
"Once again, thank you for your help. I'll go now, have a fantastic day." You said sarcastically and walked away, never turning back.
Ran stared at your figure which was getting smaller and smaller in his vision. He had an amused smile plastered on his face, feeling giddy from your hard to get personality. Girls would usually fawn over him or scared of him, there's no other way around that but you, you were weird.
In a good way.
"That girl thinks she could just walk away from me like that? How ironic but that's not how my rules work."
Rindo gave him a weird look, judging every single thing he's saying.
"There you go, talking to yourself like a lunatic. If you want to see that girl again so bad, just find her at her school, you saw her school badge didn't you?"
Ran should thank his brother, that idea was a genius start for his plan.
"That's right, she does owe me after all."
Ran unconsciously smiled again, reminiscing your cute confused expression.
He'll definitely make sure to find you again but next time, maybe you'll actually tell him your name.
