Chapter 11: wishing on rocks

Yoongi smiled at Jimin.

"You look amazing," Yoongi compliments a sweet smile pulling the corners of his mouth upward.

"Y-you too," Jimin had asked Changbin what a date was and he made sure that Jimin looked like a celebrity.

Telling Jimin what a date was in the process of making him look hotter than usual. Jimin was nervous.

"Let's go then," Yoongi opened the passenger door for Jimin.

Jimin nodded getting in and putting the seatbelt on.

"You ok? You look nervous," Yoongi smirked joking.

"N-no," Jimin stuttered. Yoongi only laughed.

"It's going to be like hanging out as we did before, except we know we like each other," Yoongi explained trying to calm Jimin's nervousness.

"Ok..." Jimin mumbled.

"Grab my phone and put on a random song," Yoongi said, passing his phone over to his date.

"Ah, you have to put in your password,"

"It's 200410" Yoongi said smiling as he pulled over to a beach. Jimin played the first song he saw when he typed: 'songs' on YouTube. As the song rythamatic played Jimin found himself smiling. The nervousness that filled his chest had suddenly disappeared, as he listened to the upbeat lyrics of the song, humming to the addictive beat. Yoongi couldn't help but stare at Jimin, fist under his chin as he fell deeper and deeper for the beautiful boy humming beside him. After the song ended, Jimin smiled at Yoongi, his usual smile that Yoongi remembered so well. They got out of the car, hand in hand while walking towards the water.

"I used to come here when I was younger, whenever I felt angry or sad." Yoongi started softly. He looked at Jimin who looked at the place with a softer look. "I used to make a wish on rocks before throwing them in, especially on my birthday because we didn't have money to waste on candles," Yoongi explained further a bitter smile appearing on his lips.

Jimin then stopped holding Yoongi's hand walking away. Yoongi looked at him in fear. Was he leaving Yoongi? Then Jimin grabbed a rock, looking back at Yoongi with those same comforting eyes. Yoongi smiled softly before he grabbed a rock too, approaching Jimin.

"Count of 3?"

"1,"

"2,"

"3,"

As Yoongi threw the rock into the deep blue water,  he wished desperately that Jimin was the one who put a ring on his fourth finger. He wrapped his arms around Jimin, who melted into his warmth immediately. Yoongi found it weird that Jimin would wear such thin clothes, but he was too happy to be there with him he didn't think much of it.

"Can I kiss you again?" Yoongi asked lifting his head to look at the boy buried in his arms. Jimin took a step back, and Yoongi was ready to face the ocean again but Jimin grabbed his hand. Kissing him passionately not caring who saw and who got uncomfortable they completed each other, not other people. As he stepped back Yoongi began laughing, at Jimin's serious expression.

"Ahh, our Jiminie do you know how cute you look? Were you that focused to kiss me?" Yoongi could not suppress his smile as he was teasing Jimin.

"Did I do it well?" Jimin pouted, unsure of himself.

"Yes, you did it very well." Yoongi brought the doubtful boy back into his arms, kissing his forehead as they stared at the full moon in the sky. Jimin looked at Yoongi and grinned away.

This was happy.

This was love.

This was them.

And they didn't want to change.
